Abstract: This technology relates to providing a web-based digital claims platform to provide users with a simple and customized experience when filing insurance claims. The platform is enabled by a plurality of back-end application programming interface (API) resources. These API resources are event-driven (e.g., when an “event” associated with the claim occurs, the status of the claim changes and the API is provided with updated information indicative of the change). The platform includes a customized user interface (UI) that tailors the claim experience to a particular user's needs. The customization can be based off of stated user preferences and/or learned user preferences associated with the user's past behavior. A user can perform/request various services through the customized UI's self-service function (e.g., rent a car, find a hotel room, select a repair shop, etc.). Additionally, the customized UI can enable the user upload documents, track claim status, find relevant help topics, etc.

Abstract: A system for generating personalized recommendations for situations facing a user holding an insurance policy and providing dynamic user interfaces via an insurance platform is disclosed. The system can receive information regarding the situation and can access databases of information regarding past situations associated with the user and/or other, similar users to identify service providers that are equipped to address the situation.

According to certain aspects, an insurance claim that lists a set of services purportedly administered by a caregiver within a property of a policyholder may be received. Operation data may be collected from a set of devices that are populated within the property, where the operation data may be indicate a set of services that were actually performed. The set of purported services may be compared to the set of actual services, and the insurance claim may be processed accordingly.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing a long-term care insurance policy associated with a property are provided. According to certain aspects, configuration data associated with a component installed within the property may be received and analyzed to determine that the component is not included in a long-term care insurance policy of the property. The component may be analyzed to determine a discount associated with the long-term care insurance policy, and the discount may then be applied to the long-term care insurance policy.
