  • Patent number: 11918262
Abstract: A fixation device includes an outer member, an inner member, and an expansion member. The outer member includes an elongated body portion and a slotted tail portion, and defines a central bore therethrough that extends along a central longitudinal axis. The inner member is disposed within the central bore of the outer member, and the expansion member is coupled to the inner member. Proximal movement of the inner member relative to the outer member moves the expansion member into the slotted tail portion of the outer member such that the slotted tail portion moves from an undistended configuration to a distended configuration.

  • Publication number: 20220240994
Abstract: A fixation device includes a head, a tapered body coupled to the head and extending along a central longitudinal axis, and a flexible tail extending distally from the tapered body and defining a central bore therethrough. The flexible tail is movable from an initial configuration aligned with the central longitudinal axis to a deflected configuration that extends away from the central longitudinal axis when a force is applied to the flexible tail.

  • Patent number: 11350973
Abstract: A rod reducer including a housing defining an opening, a body member defining an opening and a slot, a shaft disposed through the opening of the housing and coupled to the opening of the body member, an anvil including a linkage extending therefrom, the linkage coupled to the body member and the anvil, a plurality of arm members, and a biasing element disposed between the body member and the anvil. A pin of the linkage is slidably disposed within the slot, and the biasing element is configured to bias the anvil distally with respect to the body member. Rotation of the shaft translates into linear movement, relative to the housing, of the shaft, the body member, and the anvil. The arm members are coupled to the housing and movable towards a parallel configuration as the anvil is advanced away from the housing to engage a bone screw.

  • Publication number: 20190125410
Abstract: A surgical fixation assembly includes a casing and a probe. The casing defines a longitudinal axis and includes a head and a shaft extending from the head. The shaft includes a first arm and a second arm. The probe includes a wedge and a head that are coupled together and supported within the casing, the wedge and the head positioned to move relative to the casing for selectively securing the casing to osseous tissue. The wedge is supported for rotation and translation along the first and second arms of the casing to deflect the first and second arms radially and axially relative to the longitudinal axis of the casing.
