Abstract: The invention relates to an anti-metastatic composition comprising at least one flavanol-type compound for the use thereof as a medicament, said at least one flavanol-type compound being present in the form of a complex formed by the creation of coordinate bonds with at least one basic amino acid and/or at least one derivative of a basic amino acid.

Abstract: Pencils having a core within a barrel, the barrel being formed from a blend of at least two transparent polymers which are incompatible and form separate phases within the blend, the polymers having refractive indices which differ by not more than 0.02 when measured under substantially the same conditions. Blends for use in producing the barrels of such pencils have shown good sharpenability combined with high transparency. The latter enables the core of the pencils to be clearly visible through their barrels.

Abstract: Detergent compositions are disclosed which contain on a dry weight basis, from 1 to 40% of a water-insoluble aluminosilicate and from 0.5 to 5% of a aminopoly(methylenephosphonate) component which is a mixture of an ethylenediamine derivative of the formula ##STR1## and a diethylenetriamine derivative of the formula ##STR2## wherein, in each formula, R is selected from H, --CH.sub.2 PO.sub.3 M.sub.2 and --CH.sub.3 wherein M is selected from hydrogen and alkali metal, provided that at least 3 Rs are --CH.sub.2 PO.sub.3 M.sub.2 and further provided that the weight ratio of ethylenediamine derivative to diethylenetriamine derivative is from 3:1 to 1:5, and the combined weight of the aluminosilicate material and the aminopoly(methylenephosphonate) component is at least 5% of the dry weight of the composition.
