  • Publication number: 20180204411
Abstract: A system enables a wagering method on an underlying wagering event including a processor, memory, player input controls, value-in-value-out system, a visual display area enclosing at least two gaming outcome elements each of which is capable of providing at least two distinct random outcomes. The system has a mechanical system physically reorienting the at least two gaming outcome elements and a sensing system capable of determining final reoriented outcomes on the at least two gaming outcome elements. The processor receives wagers on specific random outcome events provided by the at least two gaming outcome elements compare final reoriented outcomes with the specific random outcome events on which a received wager is based. The at least two gaming outcome elements have equal probability of different outcomes on at least two surfaces and the received wager identifies distinct random outcome events for each of the at least two gaming outcome events.

  • Patent number: 9940793
Abstract: A method of executing a wagering event using card symbols comprising: a player position placing at least one wager of value at risk against a paytable. The player position receiving multiple specialty playing cards comprising a top section and a bottom section, the top half of each specialty playing card having a random rank and a first color, the bottom half of each specialty playing card having a random rank and a second color. Creating an optimal set of at least one or at least two specialty playing card hands based on a first hand formed by all top halves of the multiple specialty playing cards and a second hand formed by all bottom halves of the multiple specialty playing cards. Resolving the at least one wager for at least one of the original two hands first and/or the final first and second hands against a paytable.

  • Publication number: 20170092072
Abstract: An apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a processor that generates an electronic game card for a Class II game of chance and selects winning outcome indicia for the Class II game of chance. Further, the apparatus includes an emulation engine that generates an emulated Class III game based upon the winning outcome indicia for the Class II game of chance.

  • Patent number: 9418516
Abstract: An apparatus enables play of a wagering game in which winning outcomes are determined by random appearance of specific predetermined symbols in which: a player places a wager worth monetary value on a single gaming event in the wagering game; the player purchases with monetary value a safeguard action useful only in the single gaming event; the player receives a first complete set of symbols; if one symbol in the first complete set of symbols prevents or limits an amount of award in the single gaming event, the player exercises the safeguard action to discard the one symbol and have that one symbol replaced with one randomly provided symbol to form a second complete set of symbols; and the wager is resolved against a paytable using the second set of complete symbols.

  • Publication number: 20150213691
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling levels of sound volume emitted by a gaming apparatus may include a housing, a display system, a wager entering system, a CPU comprising a timing function and/or sound sensing system and a sound output system, wherein the CPU has software and/or hardware that provides distinctly different audio levels in a process. The method may be practiced by: b) programming associated with the timing function automatically alters the level of sound by: i) lowering volume according to expected times of low local noise levels and increasing volume according to expected times of high local noise levels; and ii) sensing an extended period of low local sound volume so that emitted game volume is lowered or kept at a relatively low volume or sensing a high level of local sound volume so that emitted game volume is maintained at a relatively high level or raised to a relatively high level.
