  • Publication number: 20240147580
Abstract: A control device for mounting in electrical heated wearables for controlling power to electrical heating wires secured in the heated wearables and capable of charging one or more portable batteries associate therewith and communicating data relative thereto. The control device has a finger-operable switch integrated with electronic circuits mounted on a pcb board. The electronic circuits include a communication circuit to interface with a wearer person to provide message information to the wearer person. The electronic circuits has power input terminals adapted to receive operating voltage from the one or more portable batteries. The pcb board with the finger-operable switch, the wiring connections and the electronic circuits are encapsulated by waterproof material. A female USB symmetrical input connecting port is mounted at a user accessible location on the control device and isolated from the pcb board and the electronic circuits by a further waterproof material.

  • Patent number: 11944134
Abstract: An electrically heated article of warmth adapted to generate heat to a user person's body. The article of warmth has at least one integrally formed pocket to support and conceal one or more batteries at desired locations and orientations therein for the comfort of the user person. The pocket is formed between opposed fabric materials to define a hollow concealed pocket space. An opening is formed in one of the opposed fabric materials for access to the hollow concealed pocket space. The opposed fabric materials have an inner surface facing one another in the hollow concealed pocket space. The inner surfaces have sticky materials which when the inner surfaces are placed against one another they exhibit a binding retention force. The one or more batteries are retained at the desired locations and orientations by the retention force of the of the inner surface of the opposed fabric materials being placed in contact with one another.

  • Publication number: 20240079819
Abstract: A battery charging cable assembly for heated wearables is comprised of a first cable section having an input connector at one end for receiving a converted dc supply voltage. The first cable section is connected at another end to an input of an intelligent battery charger mounted in a housing. The housing has one or more output symmetrical female receptacle connectors for receiving a symmetrical male plug connector secured at one end of a respective one of two output charging cables. Each of the two output charging cables has a further symmetrical male plug connector or a magnetic male connector secured at an opposite end thereof for connection to a symmetrical female receptacle connector or female magnetic connector of a connecting port associated with a battery or battery pack to provide charging voltage and current thereto.

  • Publication number: 20240049360
Abstract: A presence detection system for electrically heated wearables to safeguard against accidental battery drainage and the risk of heating elements of the wearables being accidently connected to power. The presence detection system is comprised of a capacitive touch sensor secured to an automatic switch actuation circuit. The capacitive touch sensor has an electronic circuit connected to a portable rechargeable battery supply of an associated heated wearable. The battery supply provides power to one or more heating elements secured to the heated wearable through a switch. The capacitive touch sensor is secured to the heated wearable at a position wherein a sensing face of the capacitive touch sensor can detect the presence of a wearer person. The electronic circuit generates an output signal to the automatic switch actuation circuit indicative of the presence of the wearer person.

  • Publication number: 20230389630
Abstract: An electrically heatable article of apparel, in the form of a vest is equipped with a discrete and concealed control module which is provided with a finger actuating switch positioned for easy access by the fingers of a wearer person. The control module switch transmits communication signals in the form of time retention presses on the finger actuation switch button to cause the programed control circuit of the module to perform stored programmed functions. An haptic feedback device is mounted on a printed circuit board of the control module to generate vibration communication signals to a wearer person's body by the sense of touch. The printed circuit board also acts as a vibration transmitting medium to the finger actuating switch to permit a user person to feel the vibration times of the retention presses through its finger.
