  • Publication number: 20240156103
Abstract: The disclosure relates to genetically modified microorganisms of the genus Paenibacillus, for the improvement of phenotypes of plants, for example nitrogen availability for non-leguminous plants. Included are novel strains of the microorganisms, microbial consortia, and agricultural compositions comprising the same. Furthermore, the disclosure teaches methods of utilizing the described microorganisms, microbial consortia, and agricultural compositions comprising the same, in methods for imparting beneficial properties to target plant species. In particular aspects, the disclosure provides methods of increasing desirable plant traits in agronomically important species, for example nitrogen fixation, utilization, regulation, uptake, acquisition, tolerance, and/or processing in plants.

  • Publication number: 20240077138
Abstract: An edge seal for sealing an outer surface of a lower electrode assembly configured to support a semiconductor substrate in a plasma processing chamber, the lower electrode assembly including an annular groove defined between a lower member and an upper member of the lower electrode assembly. The edge seal includes an elastomeric band configured to be arranged within the groove, the elastomeric band having an annular upper surface, an annular lower surface, an inner surface, and an outer surface. When the elastomeric band is in an uncompressed state, the outer surface of the elastomeric band is concave. When the upper and lower surfaces are axially compressed at least 1% such that the elastomeric band is in a compressed state, an outward bulging of the outer surface is not greater than a predetermined distance. The predetermined distance corresponds to a maximum outer diameter of the elastomeric band in the uncompressed state.

  • Publication number: 20240076123
Abstract: A sanitary product disposal container includes a container housing having a movable housing top cover. A cover hinge assembly allows the top cover to pivot between open and closed positions. Accordingly, a used feminine hygiene product may be placed in the interior space of the container housing in the open position of the housing top cover while minimizing touching the container housing to open the housing top cover. The housing may be selectively opened to facilitate removal of the used feminine hygiene products from the interior space all without exposure to the used products or the escape of unpleasant odors.

  • Publication number: 20230329470
Abstract: A curtain is suitable for use in a hospital, patient facilities or surgical setting. The curtain is slideably attached along a ceiling track. A top edge of the curtain may be attached to the ceiling track by a number of pulleys each of which may be utilized to lower the top edge of curtain to a height which is conveniently accessible to someone standing on the floor of the room to remove and/or replace the curtain. In some embodiments of this invention, the curtain has a top portion joined to a bottom portion by a zipper. The pulleys lower the curtain for someone to easily access the zipper to remove, replace and/or attach the bottom portion from/to the top portion. In other embodiments, the pulleys lower the entire curtain for removal and replacement.

  • Publication number: 20230148779
Abstract: A curtain is suitable for use in hospital, patient facilities or surgical settings. The curtain includes a bottom panel removably attached and suspended from a top panel. The top panel maybe suspended from a rail or similar mechanism by suspension means such as hooks or rings. The top panel may comprise a mesh or mesh-like fabric or substance so as to allow air, light, and/or water to pass through. The bottom panel maybe opaque to provide privacy, and maybe flame resistant and/or antibacterial. The bottom panel maybe single-use or disposable, or maybe reusable. The top and bottom panels are joined by a zipper to allow for removal of the bottom panel for washing or replacement. The zipper track has curved portions to allow for easier access to begin the zipping and unzipping process.

  • Publication number: 20230146709
Abstract: A compound having the formula (I) R1-COOH. R1 is an alkyl or alkenyl group having a C7-11 backbone, optionally branched with a C1-6 alkyl group at any C position in the backbone, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, amide or ester thereof. The backbone of the alkyl or alkenyl group, and/or the branched alkyl groups, are optionally interrupted by one or more heteroatoms, provided that when R1 is an alkyl group having a C7 backbone, the branching does not consist only of a hexyl group at the a carbon of R1, or only of a methyl group at the ? carbon of R1, or of only single methyl groups at both the ? and ?-1 carbons of R1, and provided that when R1 is an alkyl group having a C8 or C11 backbone, the branching does not consist only of a propyl group at the a carbon of R1.

  • Publication number: 20140230827
Abstract: A device for fixating and/or supporting a wrist and hand of a patient during a radial artery procedure includes a frame. The frame includes a wrist frame member having a wrist support surface to receive the wrist of the patient. The frame includes a hand frame member having a hand support surface to receive the hand of the patient. The hand support member is pivotally connected to the wrist support member. The hand frame member is movable relative to the wrist frame member between a first position to a second position. In the first position, the hand support surface is at a first angle relative to the wrist support surface to hyperextend the wrist to promote access to the artery for the procedure. In the second position, the hand support surface and the wrist support surface are generally aligned to straighten the wrist and promote hemostasis after the procedure.
