Abstract: An arrowhead, spearhead, integral arrow or spear, or other projectile for hunting, with a point of efficient penetrating design and having moveable sharpened blades, pivotally mounted within a slot in the head. The arrangement provides shrouding of the functional cutting surfaces of the moveable blades when they are in a beginning, closed and positively locked position. In response to impact with and penetration into a target, the blades automatically unlock and pivot outward from the enshrouded configuration to a second position where they are fully extended and may perform their cutting function.
