    Abstract: A method of controlling a multiengine harvester including the steps of operating the harvester in a first mode, operating the harvester in a second mode, and selecting less than all of the power absorbing loads to be driven. In the first mode, the harvester is operated using a first engine and a second engine to drive the plurality of power absorbing loads. In the second mode, the harvester is operated with the second engine being uncoupled from all of the power absorbing loads. In the selecting step, less than all of the power absorbing loads are selected to be driven dependent upon the sensed load on the first engine while operating in the second mode. The first engine is incapable of driving all of the power absorbing loads.

The second motor/generator and the first motor/generator are electrically coupled together. At least one electrical processing circuit is coupled with each of the first motor/generator and the second motor/generator. The at least one electrical processing circuit is configured for selectively transferring electrical power from the first motor/generator to the second motor/generator, when the second power unit is at or above the threshold power output.

Each cleat has a length which is less than the width of the belt. A seam joins the opposite ends of the belt. The seam includes a splice bar and a pair of lacings. The splice bar has a length which is approximately the same as the cleat length. Each lacing is disposed in an area between a corresponding end of the splice bar and a respective side edge of the belt.

    Abstract: An agricultural combine has a flexible unloading tube for discharging the contents of a grain tank positioned on the combine. The unloading tube includes first and second tubes connected by a pair of swivel joints on an intermediate tube. The swivel joints are actuated independent of one another by either electrical or hydraulic power to provide a range of motion significantly greater than found in current combines. A series of augers, connected through flexible joints, move grain material through the unloading tube. The double swivel joints enable the unloader to be conveniently located in the combine with a minimum intrusion on the overall volume of the unit.
