An oligomer of Formula I: ##STR1## wherein: R.sup.1 is hydrogen or methyl; andY is a divalent urethane residue; andB. a copolymerizable ultra-violet light absorber which is a copolymerizable (2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacryloxy) alkylene acrylic acid ester of Formula IV: ##STR2## where (Ar).sub.1 and (Ar).sub.2 are aromatic carbocylic nuclei of the benzene and naphthalene series;X is C.sub.2 -C.sub.17 alkylene, unsubstituted or substituted; andZ is a copolymerizable radical selected from acryloyl, alkylacryloyl, acryloxyalkyl, acryloxyhydroxyalkyl, or alkylacryloxyhydroxyalkyl, having from C.sub.3 -C.sub.12 carbon atoms.Preferably the coating composition contains a vinyl monomer, such as N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone or an acrylic acid ester, which is copolymerizable with the oligomer.The process for curing the composition also is disclosed.
