    Abstract: A cage apron adapted for use with a wire cage for redirecting debris scattered from within the cage by an enclosed animal back into the cage. The apron has at least one locking member having equally spaced locking tabs extending the length thereof and at least one ratchet member having equally spaced crenations extending the length thereof which is ratcheted along the locking tabs of the locking member for telescopically joining the members into a frame like structure for mounting on the cage. Each of the members is formed with a flanged edge and an opposite support edge. The flanged edges of the two members align with each other into a locked relationship when the two members are telescopically joined. A plurality of removable tabs extend outwardly from the support edge of the ratchet member for extending through the cage bars. A plurality of serrations are formed on the ratchet member for separating the ratchet member into a desired length to match the length of the cage.

    Abstract: A detachable tray apparatus (20, 120) for a high chair (21) having a pair of spaced arm rails (30, 31) including, a tray body (40, 40') providing a substantially planar surface (41) spanning the distance between the pair of spaced upper arm rails, and a pair of spaced attachment mechanisms (50, 50; 150, 150) affixed to the tray body and selectively engaging the arm rails, each of the attachment mechanisms having a gripper (50, 50) movable from an open position into engagement with a portion of the periphery of an arm rail for maintaining the tray in a locked position. Impact absorbers (90, 190) may be provided on the tray for engaging the arm rails to resist lateral forces applied to the tray.

    Abstract: A sleeve for storing and displaying a videocassette comprising a clear plastic, elongated rectangular one-piece member formed with a hollow interior storage chamber completely enclosed except for an end opening through which a videocassette is inserted into and removed from the chamber. A chipboard cover having printed indicia thereon identifying a pre-recorded program on the videocassette is retained within the chamber and slidably receives the videocassette therein. A pair of diametrically-disposed interiorly-facing lug member is formed on the front and rear walls of the sleeve and extend into the end opening to retain the videocassette within the chipboard sleeve. Aperture means is formed in the rear wall of the sleeve to permit removal of the videocassette from the sleeve. Such aperture means comprises one or more finger holes to permit application of finger pressure on the videocassette to overcome the frictional engagement of the videocassette by the lug means.

    Abstract: A container for storing a tape cassette of the type having a pair of spaced tape reel hubs. Each hub has a cylindrical sidewall which defines a recess in the hub. The storage container includes enclosure means for receiving and enclosing a cassette in the container. Diametrically opposed pairs of fingers are molded integrally with a bottom wall of the container and project into the hub recesses through an aligned access opening formed in a bottom wall of the tape cassette upon placing the cassette into the container. The fingers are formed with a concave inner edge, and a convex outer edge having an elongated straight portion and an undercut formed thereon adjacent to the container bottom wall. The convex outer edge of the fingers are engaged by the hub sidewall, whereby the combination of the undercut and curved inner edge enables the fingers to flex inwardly upon initial placement of a cassette into the storage container.

    Abstract: An insert construction for receiving an audio cassette single which is generally contained in a cardboard sleeve and sealed in a clear heat-shrink wrapped plastic cover and which is smaller than the usual plastic case which houses the multiple play audio cassette, enabling the cassette singles to be safely stored and displayed in the security packages heretofore used for the larger plastic cases. At least one generally U-shaped cross-sectional channel is formed in the insert and has a width generally equal to the thickness of an the wrapped audio cassette single for trapping and retaining the cassette within the insert.

    Abstract: A storage container for audio cassette tape boxes and digital audio compact disc boxes. The storage container is an integral one-piece member formed by spaced, parallel top and bottom walls, a pair of spaced, parallel sidewalls, a partial rear wall, and an open front which provides access into the container. A pair of spaced, parallel partition walls equally divide the container into a pair of outer compartments and a center compartment. A plurality of spaced, parallel elongated first ribs extend inwardly of the top and bottom walls into the compartments for receiving a plurality of the compact disc boxes in each of the compartments. A plurality of spaced, parallel elongated second and third ribs extend inwardly of each of the pair of sidewalls into the outer compartments, and inwardly of each of the partition walls into the center compartment and a respective one of the outer compartments, for receiving a plurality of cassette tape boxes in each of the compartments.

    Abstract: A container for storing a tape cassette of the type having a pair of spaced tape reel hubs. Each hub has a bottom wall and a cylindrical sidewall which define a recess in the hub. The storage container includes enclosure means for receiving and enclosing a cassette in the container. Toggle pairs are mounted on a bottom wall of the storage container and project into the hub recesses through an aligned access opening formed in a bottom wall of the tape cassette upon placing the cassette into the container. The toggle pairs are engaged by the bottom wall of the tape reel hub upon placement of a cassette into the storage container and move outwardly toward an expanded position and into engagement with the cylindrical sidewall of the reel hubs to prevent rotation of the hubs and resultant unwinding of and possible damage to the tape contained thereon.

    Abstract: A reusable one-piece molded plastic package for securely holding and displaying digital audio compact discs. A housing forms a storage compartment having an access opening for receiving a container of the type having opposite end portions and a compartment formed in at least one of the end portions for receiving a rectangular storage box containing a compact disc. A cover is hingedly mounted on the housing and is pivotally moved toward the storage compartment to a closed position to secure a compact disc container therein. A pair of locking projections, are formed on the cover and engage camming surfaces and locking tabs formed on the housing to lockingly engage the cover with the housing. A manually operated key releases the locking tabs from engagement with the locking projections enabling the cover to be disengaged from the housing and moved to an open position.

    Abstract: A reuseable one-piece molded plastic package for securely holding and displaying cassettes. A housing forms a storage compartment having an access opening for receiving a cassette. A slide plate is hingedly mounted on the housing and is slideably moved toward the storage compartment to secure a cassette therein. A plurality of slide projections and locking projections are formed on the slide plate and engage slide channels and locking tabs, respectively, formed on the housing to secure the slide plate in locked position. A manually operated key releases the locking tabs from engagement with the locking projections enabling the slide plate to be moved to the unlocked position. In one embodiment the slide plate moves into the access opening to prevent removal of a cassette therefrom, wherein a second embodiment the slide plate engages a hinged cover which forms part of the storage compartment to secure the cover in the closed position.

    Abstract: A security device for mounting in the alignment or positioning channel of video cassette which prevents utilization of the cassette in a VCR. The security device comprises a locking member having tabs which extend into openings of the alignment channel to retain the member therein after insertion into the channel. The locking member is removed by a key which is inserted into the bore of the locking member and has barbs at its lower end which engage the tabs of the locking member and retract them from within the openings to permit the locking member to be withdrawn from the cassette channel. The locking member also may secure the cassette within a container by passing through a hole in the wall of the container and then into the cassette channel aligned therewith.

    Abstract: A compact disc cleaning device contains cleaning pads located on a wall of a housing. A housing cover has an elongated slot and a post assembly is slidably received therein. The post assembly engages the central opening of a compact disc placed within the housing so that upon linear movement of said post in said elongated slot, the compact disc is cleaned with a substantially radial cleaning motion. The device can contain pivot surfaces on side regions of the house to slightly rotate the disc upon movement of the post assembly in the elongated slot.

    Abstract: A panel formed by a generally flat plate with outwardly projecting flanges along three sides thereof is snap-fitted onto the bottom wall of a video cassette storage container and forms a pocket for holding a booklet or similar material. A plurality of inwardly projecting tabs formed on two of the panel flanges are engaged in notches formed in opposite side edges of the container bottom wall for removably mounting the panel on the container. A pair of clips are connected integrally by live hinges with the panel plate and project toward the bottom wall of the container for retaining a booklet within the pocket. The panel is molded of transparent plastic material and has ribs projecting from the outer surface of the panel to reduce scratching of the plate surface. A transparent plastic sheet also may be secured to the outer surface of the container top and end walls for holding a thin identification label therebetween.

    Abstract: A reusable molded plastic package for holding audio cassettes which enables the cassettes to be stored and displayed in racks heretofore used for record discs and eight-track audio tapes and which includes a slide lock which secures the cassette in the package preventing its unauthorized removal therefrom. In one embodiment, the cassette is mounted in a transverse position at one end of the package enabling the contents of the cassette to be viewed from the end of the package when stored in a horizontal position. In another embodiment, the cassette is mounted in a longitudinal position at one end of the cassette whereby the contents can be read from the front of the cassette when stored in a vertical position. In still another embodiment the package can store either an audio cassette or a compact disc. The slide lock is retracted from its locked position by a manually operated key.

    Abstract: A device for displaying circular objects such as plates, pictures, mirrors and the like on a wall or other supporting structure. A frame formed with a circular-shaped central opening has a plurality of spaced lugs extending outwardly from its back surface. An annular shaped retainer ring is formed with a plurality of circumferentially spaced ramps which are engageable with the frame lugs for clamping the circular object against the back surface of the frame for visual display of the object through the frame opening. The ramps extend in an angular direction along the side of the retainer ring and provide axial movement of the retainer ring towards the frame when slidably engaged with the lugs to apply a clamping force against the circular object and to permit the mounting of objects of varying thickness on the display device. The ramps are provided with a series of ratchet teeth for locking the retainer ring in an adjustable object clamping position.

    Abstract: A readily assembled desk-top storage unit consisting of only three separate components molded of plastic. The components include a pair of side panels, a plurality of shelves and a backing plate. The shelves have channels extending along the side edges thereof which are slidably received in aligned grooves formed in the side panels to mount the shelves on the panels. The backing plate is received in channels formed on the side panels. Outwardly projecting tabs formed on the rear edges of the shelves project into complementary-shaped slots formed in the backing plate to interlock the backing plate with the shelves. The storage unit can be placed in a first position on a supporting structure and serve as a tray for receiving papers, letters, etc. on the horizontal shelves.

    Abstract: A storage container for securely holding and containing two different sizes of video cassettes therein by a pair of projections molded integrally with either the top or bottom wall of the container. One of the projections is a usual pair of annular concentric members which extends into one of the reel hub openings formed in the cassette. In accordance with the invention, the other projection preferably is an oval-shaped member formed by two semicircular arcuate sections which terminate in end posts. One of the arcuate sections extends into a second reel hub opening in the cassette and coincides with an outer arcuate curved section of the opening when storing a small size cassette, with the other arcuate section coinciding with an inner arcuate curved section of a reel hub opening when storing a larger size cassette.
