  • Patent number: 12356976
Abstract: A chemical agent useful for controlling pests is disclosed. The agent can be a thiol, such as a cyclic thiol according to Formula I. The agent can be used to react with a targeted biochemical analyte secreted by pests, such as bed bugs, to provide an adduct. The agent can be useful in a pest control device, system, or method for detecting pests, which can involve use of a controller and a sensor cell coated with composition containing the agent. The disclosure also describes the adduct obtained from the agent and the analyte, as well as a composition containing the agent or adduct.

  • Publication number: 20230337651
Abstract: A device, system, and method of controlling pests are disclosed. A pest control device includes a sensor having a sensor cell and a controller. A surface of the sensor cell is coated with an agent that reacts with a targeted biochemical analyte secreted by pests. The controller is coupled to the sensor and is configured to receive sensor data from the sensor cell indicative of a rate of change in sensor mass detected on the surface of the sensor cell, determine whether the rate of change in the sensor mass based on the received sensor data exceeds a predefined threshold rate, and transmit a pest detection alert notification to a server in response to a determination that the rate of change exceeds the predetermined threshold rate.

  • Publication number: 20020138764
Abstract: An automatic software license facility operates as an intermediary between software buyers and vendors. It allows software buyers, via predefined rules associated with the software, to easily, instantly and securely purchase or obtain authorization to use software licenses. For both buyers and vendors the automatic software license facility provides increased efficiency and convenience, a stronger strategic relationship, decreased administrative burden and costs of software asset management, better reporting and better payment facilities. In a preferred embodiment, a trusted third party operates the facility.
