  • Patent number: 7574675
Abstract: An editor application highlights a user's original selection of text. The editor application additionally identifies whether the user's selection of text includes a portion of tagged content. If so, the editor application provides a visual indication of a remainder portion of the tagged content that is not included as part of the user's selection of text. That is, the editor application provides a first visual indication (e.g., a first color of highlighting) of the original text selected by the user and a second visual indication (e.g., a second color of highlighting) of a portion of the tagged content displayed outside of originally selected text. Consequently, the user can easily identify a first region of text originally selected by the user as well as a remainder portion of the tagged content in a second region exclusive with respect to the originally selected text.

  • Publication number: 20070237942
Abstract: The present invention provides a composite material including a substrate layer, a knit porous layer intermixed within the substrate material, and a thermoplastic layer disposed upon the porous layer. The porous layer is at least partially disposed within the thermoplastic layer. The present invention also provides a method for forming the composite material including the steps of: providing a substrate layer, providing a porous layer disposed on the substrate layer, providing a thermoplastic layer disposed on the porous layer, applying pressure and vacuum to mechanically interlock the thermoplastic layer with the porous layer; and bonding the porous layer to the substrate layer.

  • Patent number: 7043689
Abstract: Computer programs and computer-implemented methods implement techniques for displaying zero-width markers in an electronic document. An electronic document including content having a visual content is provided. The electronic document includes one or more markers having locations in the content, the markers not being represented in the content. Input specifying one or more locations in the electronic document is received. The presence of one or more markers associated with one or more locations in the specified locations is detected in response to the input. A visual representation of the detected markers is displayed. In preferred embodiments, the display of the visual representation does not alter the visual composition of the document.
