  • Publication number: 20180340403
Abstract: A method of live well artificial lift completion includes hanging an umbilical on a wellhead of a live well, the umbilical fluidly coupling a production pump to a well surface and electrically coupling an electric motor to a surface power source, the electric motor powering the production pump. The umbilical includes coiled tubing surrounded by a jacket. The umbilical also includes power cables extruded inside the jacket to form a smooth jacket outer surface. The method also includes creating a pressure seal inside the umbilical during deployment of the umbilical into the live well, the pressure seal inside the umbilical created using a blowout plug positioned to block a discharge of the production pump. • Patent number: 10135496
Abstract: A full duplex, low latency, near field data link controls a static and/or dynamic resonant induction, wireless power transfer system used for recharging electric vehicles and other electrically powered devices. A coherent transponder configuration enables low complexity synchronous detection and positive rejection of signals originating from nearby and adjacent vehicles. A reference crystal oscillator in the ground side apparatus provides frequency synchronization for both the forward and the return data links. Transmission is by means of near field magnetic induction between pairs of loop antennas which, together with the effective waveguide below cutoff structure comprised by the vehicle underbody and the ground surface, largely restrict signal propagation to the area in the immediate vicinity of the system antennas.

  • Publication number: 20180320481
Abstract: Air pollution includes emissions from two sources: fixed sources and moving sources. A fixed source could be an electric power generation facility or a lime kiln. A moving source can be a tail pipe such as one on an automobile. The fixed source's emissions are redirected downward into a depleted hydrocarbon reserve through an injection well. The moving source is attached to a Carbonator which takes calcium oxide from the lime kiln and carbon dioxide from the moving source to produce calcium carbonate. This removes two sources of air pollution, first the use of the Carbonator system to remove Carbon Dioxide Emissions into the Atmosphere as described in the Application and secondly the total injection of all smokestack effluents into depleted reservoirs, removing the smokestack and in an electrical generating station HVDC transmission lines are run to the displaced smokestack, and is thus a solution to air pollution.

  • Publication number: 20180312071
Abstract: A vehicle alignment system is adapted to align a vehicle with a wireless power induction coil for wireless charging through use of magnetic resonant induction. The system includes a transmission line disposed in the parking slot so as to guide the vehicle to the wireless power induction coil for charging. The transmission line leaks a signal having an operating frequency that is detected to align the vehicle left-right in the parking slot when the vehicle is aligned for charging by the wireless power induction coil. At least two vehicle mounted antennas mounted on opposite sides of transmission line when the vehicle is aligned in the parking slot detect the operating frequency from the transmission line, and signal processing circuitry detects a relative signal phase between signals detected by the antennas. The relative phase differences between the detected signals from the antennas are representative of alignment of the vehicle with respect to the wireless power induction coil and the parking slot.

  • Patent number: 10054096
Abstract: A system for automatically adjusting the temperature and carbon monoxide level in an occupied passenger compartment of a vehicle includes sensors for sensing carbon monoxide levels, temperature, and occupants in the passenger compartment. A controller receives input from the sensors, and activates an electric heater or an electric cooler to bring the temperatures within the passenger compartment within a predetermined temperature range if the temperature detected within the passenger compartment falls outside of the predetermined range of temperatures. The controller may automatically shut off the engine of the vehicle when the vehicle is in idle and the carbon monoxide level within the passenger compartment falls above a predetermined level, or if a transmission lever of the vehicle is placed in a park position. A motor generator unit coupled to the engine provides electricity to rechargeable batteries of an alternate power unit, which powers the electric heater and the electric cooler.
