Patent number: 12565034Abstract: A mat and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The mat includes a first foam layer, a second foam layer and a third foam layer. The first foam layer has a first hardness and a first porosity. The second foam layer is connected with the first foam layer and has a second hardness and a second porosity larger than the first porosity. The third foam layer is connected with the second foam layer and has a third hardness and a third porosity smaller than the first porosity. The second foam layer includes a first connecting surface facing the first foam layer and a second connecting surface facing the third foam layer. The contact area between the first connecting surface and the first foam layer is different from the contact area between the second connecting surface and the third foam layer.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2024Date of Patent: March 3, 2026Assignee: The Parallax Group International, LLCInventors: Bruce A. Thrush, Tung-An Liu

Publication number: 20220071426Abstract: A method of manufacturing a substantially flat foam floor mat is described. The raw materials for each color layer are separately mixed and heated below their foaming temperature in different batches, and separately pressed through heated rollers to form a plurality of unfoamed sheets. The temperature of the rollers are maintained within a range of 5° C. or less. Two or more unfoamed sheets from each batch are stacked together in a press and heated above their foaming temperature to permit the stacked sheets to foam, expand, and heat-weld together. The press restricts the sheets from vertical expansion while allowing horizontal expansion. Once the sheets are foamed, a series of alternating teeth and receiving slots are cut around the boundary of the mat to form an interlocking peripheral wall.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2021Publication date: March 10, 2022Inventor: Bruce A. Thrush

Publication number: 20210085101Abstract: Wall mounting assemblies and methods are disclosed. The assembly includes a bracket that has two frame members coupled at a hinge. Each frame member has a hook for engaging a recess or slot on a panel. Rotating the two frame members causes the hooks to lock into the slots on the panel.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2020Publication date: March 25, 2021Inventor: Bruce A. THRUSH

Patent number: 10568442Abstract: Wall mounting assemblies and methods are disclosed. The assembly includes a bracket that has two frame members coupled at a hinge. Each frame member has a hook for engaging a recess or slot on a panel. The assembly further includes a panel that has edges that are configured to engage the edges of adjacent panels, without the need for tilting the panel to engage. Each panel has two slots for receiving the bracket. Bending the two frame members on the bracket causes the bracket's hooks to lock into the slots on the panel.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2018Date of Patent: February 25, 2020Assignee: Parallax Group International, LLCInventor: Bruce A. Patent number: 10390647Abstract: Floor mats comprising two layers bonded together with an undulating boundary between them. The surface color and/or surface texture of the first layer being different from the surface color and/or surface texture of the second layer. The mats having an interlocking periphery boundary adapted so the mats can be interlocked with adjoining mats to form a continuous planar mat flooring.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2005Date of Patent: August 27, 2019Assignee: Parallax Group International, LLCInventor: Bruce A. Publication number: 20190183273Abstract: A two layer foam mat is described. The raw materials for each layer are separately mixed and heated in different batches, and separately pressed through heated rollers to form a plurality of sheets. One or more sheets from each batch are stacked together in a press and heated above a foaming temperature to permit the stacked sheets to foam and expand. The press restricts the sheets from vertical expansion while allowing horizontal expansion. Once the sheets are foamed, a series of alternating teeth and receiving slots can be cut around the boundary of the mat to form an interlocking peripheral wall. The layers preferably have the same chemical composition after foaming, even though the layers are formed from different batches and may have different colors and/or textures.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2019Publication date: June 20, 2019Inventor: Bruce A. Thrush

Patent number: 10258179Abstract: Reversible floor mats having two layers bonded together at an undulating surface are described. Each layer has a generally non-constant across over its width and length. The combined thickness of the two layers is generally constant over its width and length. The layers have different colors and/or different surface textures to provide different working surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2017Date of Patent: April 16, 2019Assignee: Parallax Group International, LLCInventor: Bruce A.
