  • Patent number: 9171336
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for determining the connectedness from a first individual to a second individual on a social network. In some embodiments, a method includes: (a) receiving information associated with the social network, (b) determining a direct connection between the first individual and the second individual, (c) determining one or more indirect connections between a first individual and a second individual, and (d) determining the connectedness based at least partially on: the direct connection, and/or the number of indirect connections between the first individual and the second individual, and/or the type of each indirect connection, and/or a qualitative value of each indirect connection. Embodiments of the invention allow a user of a system to determine the strength (or quality/closeness) of a connection between two individuals on a social network.

  • Patent number: 9092603
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and computer program products described and claimed that provide for automatically and positively determining that a customer interfacing with one business platform application using a platform-specific customer identifier is the same customer that is interfacing with another business platform application using another platform-specific customer identifier. Once the positive determination of same customer is made, a federated identifier key is generated and applied to all of the platforms, so as to globally identify the customer across multiple enterprise-wide platforms. As such, the present invention eliminates the labor-intensive need to manually analyze customer data to determine if a customer interfacing with one platform is the same customer interfacing with another platform.

  • Patent number: 8745728
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and computer program products are described and claimed that provide for automatically and positively determining that an associate accessing a business domain/application using an application-specific associate identifier is the same associate that is accessing another business domain/application using another application-specific associate identifier. Once the positive determination of same associate is made, a federated identifier key is generated and applied to all of the platforms in which the associate can be positively identified, so as to globally identify the associates across multiple enterprise-wide domains/applications. As such, the present invention eliminates the need to manually analyze associate data to determine if an associate interfacing with one domain/application is the same associate interfacing with another domain/application.

  • Publication number: 20130024239
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for determining a threat associated with an agent's provision of a service to an outsider. In some embodiments, a method includes: (a) receiving first information associated with the outsider, (b) receiving, from a data system, second information associated with the agent, where the agent provided the service to the outsider, and (c) determining a relationship between the outsider and the agent. In some embodiments, the method further includes: (d) receiving third information associated with the agent's provision of the service to the outsider, and (e) determining an abnormal event associated with the service.

  • Publication number: 20080053362
Abstract: A flagpole ball ornament comprising opposed, hollow, hemispherical parts interfitted to each other at a circular rim formed on one of the parts and interconnected by an elongated diametral rod-like brace member. The brace member is internally threaded at opposite ends for receiving a machine screw to connect one of the hemispherical parts to the brace member and the opposite end of the brace member receives an all-thread member for connecting the ball to a support post member. The brace member may include, alternatively, a bolt clearance bore for receiving an elongated bolt for connection to the post member.
