  • Patent number: 9142152
Abstract: Techniques for performing diagnostics on an electronic display are described in various implementations. In one example implementation, a method may include receiving image data that depicts a test protocol being displayed on an electronic display, the test protocol comprising a two-dimensional barcode. The method may also include processing the image data to determine whether a message encoded in the two-dimensional barcode is corrupted. The method may also include generating a diagnostic result for the electronic display based on the determination.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 21, 2012
Date of Patent: September 22, 2015
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
Inventors: Bruce Aaron Tankleff, Bruce R. Watson, Kyle D. Brown
  • Patent number: 8780125
Abstract: In one embodiment, a display device comprises a graphics interface, an image processing system, an input device coupled to the image processing system to receive a screen capture signal and transmit the screen capture signal to the image processing system, and a storage subsystem coupled to the image processing system to store, in response to the screen capture signal, screen capture data generated by the image processing system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 29, 2006
Date of Patent: July 15, 2014
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
Inventors: Bruce Aaron Tankleff, Jeffrey Dale Cole, James Ronald Pace, Courtney D. Goeltzenleuchter

  • Patent number: 7941623
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer system comprises a host machine comprising a plurality of compute resources, at least one secure memory location coupled to the host machine, wherein the secure memory location stores host machine configuration data, and a virtual machine host module coupled to the host machine. The virtual machine host module comprises logic to map a path to the secure memory location, receive a signal indicating whether a first virtual machine guest should be permitted access to the host machine configuration data, and associate at least a portion of the host machine configuration data with the first virtual machine guest when the when the signal indicates that the first virtual machine guest should be permitted to access the configuration data.
