Abstract: The present disclosure is directed generally to a system and method for content management. The system and method provides a rhetorical content model, and automated methods of generating proposals and other documents based thereon. The data storage system can map properties from an explicit data architecture to constructs in a liquid content abstract data architecture. The mapping is performed based on rules such that the level of abstraction is increased from normal database architectures. In a particular illustrative embodiment, the content management system includes a database including a plurality of records and a server responsive to the database. At least one of the plurality of records includes a plurality of fields storing grammatical syntax elements associated with a content subject. Each of the grammatical syntax elements has a rhetorical structure to facilitate selective assembly into at least one sentence.
