  • Publication number: 20030176235
Abstract: A slotted hosel and related attachment system and method are provided for securely affixing a golf club head to the end of a golf club shaft. The hosel is formed to extend generally upwardly from a heel end of the club head and has a generally cylindrical shape defining an upwardly open hosel bore. At least one and preferably multiple laterally open slots are formed in the hosel to reduce the weight thereof. A relatively thin-walled liner sleeve is slide-fitted into the hosel bore and thereafter expanded to form dimples therein protruding outwardly into secure mechanical interlocking relation with the hosel. The end of the club shaft is thereafter slide-fitted into the liner sleeve and securely affixed therein by epoxy or the like.

  • Publication number: 20030071068
Abstract: A bottled water cooler includes at least one and preferably a plurality of lights for illuminating a transparent water bottle mounted onto a cooler housing in an inverted orientation. The lights are mounted on the cooler housing for illuminating the bottle generally at a bottle shoulder along an annular contact zone supported on the cooler housing. The lights shine generally upwardly through the transparent bottle wall and into the bottle interior to illuminate the bottle and its contents, resulting in an attractive and refreshing appearance.

  • Patent number: 6475101
Abstract: A golf club head is provided of the metal wood type, wherein a faceplate of the club head carries a weighted insert. In one form, a weighted insert is mounted into a forwardly open cavity formed in the faceplate and defines a front end visible from the exterior of the club head and disposed substantially coplanar with the club head faceplate. In another form, the weighted insert is formed integrally at the interior or inboard side of the faceplate may be associated with indicia visible from the exterior of the club head to indicate the location thereof.

  • Patent number: 6119462
Abstract: A water cooler is provided with an improved chiller system of the type having a thermoelectric chiller module for maintaining a supply of water at a reduced and refreshing temperature level. The chiller system comprises the thermoelectric chiller module having a cold side thereof in thermal communication with a supply of water to be chilled, and a hot side thereof exposed within a manifold defining a heat transfer chamber filled with a heat exchange medium such as water. An impeller located centrally within the heat transfer chamber circulates the water directly against the hot side of the thermoelectric module, from which the water then flows radially outwardly through a plurality of hollow fin elements and is recirculated back to the impeller. In the preferred form, the impeller is coupled by a hermetically sealed magnetic coupling to an air flow fan disposed outside the manifold for providing a cooling air flow over exterior surfaces of the hollow fin elements.

  • Patent number: 6077427
Abstract: A water vending machine is provided of the type having a water purification system for producing a supply of relatively purified water for dispensing into a customer-supplied container such as a water bottle. The vending machine includes an open dispense chamber for receiving and supporting the water bottle beneath a dispense nozzle through which water is delivered in response to coin-initiated operation of a machine control panel. A trap door normally conceals and thereby prevents unauthorized access to the dispense nozzle, wherein the trap door is retracted upon operation of the control panel to expose the dispense nozzle and permit water dispensing to the bottle. In addition, the vending machine includes an improved door lock assembly including a square-shaped and rotatable main lock cartridge seated in a locked condition within a matingly shaped lock case, wherein this door lock assembly provides improved security locking of a machine access door.

  • Patent number: 6003318
Abstract: A water cooler is provided with a thermoelectric heat transfer module for chilling water within a cooler reservoir. The water cooler includes a sensor mounted in a position to detect build-up of an ice bank within the cooler reservoir, and to provide a signal to a controller which regulates the thermoelectric module to prevent excessive ice bank growth. The water cooler further includes an air filter for filtering air drawn by a fan to circulate over a heat sink associated with the thermoelectric module, wherein the air filter is adapted for quick and easy access and removal for periodic cleaning or replacement. The thermoelectric module and air filter are included as part of a chiller subassembly adapted for quick and easy assembly with a water cooler housing for use in chilling water within the reservoir, and also for quick and easy disassembly from the water cooler housing for service or replacement, if required.
