Transactions are completed within a transaction processing system, and transactions are replicated from a source database to a target database by a replication engine. The transaction pattern table includes a plurality of records. Each record includes a transaction pattern. Each completed transaction is a series of one or more transaction steps or operations, and the transaction pattern is a series of one or more transaction steps or operations of the completed transaction. In operation, each transaction step or operation is analyzed in the transaction stream by the transaction stream monitor. It is then detected as to whether a transaction step or operation begins a new transaction.

    Abstract: Methods are provided for dynamically improving driving performance of a moving vehicle that is traversing a land surface using a flywheel, an active element, and a controller. The controller predicts the directional change of the moving vehicle, detects initiation of the predicted directional change of the moving vehicle, determines or estimates an incremental directional change of the moving vehicle that is currently needed to navigate a portion of the predicted directional change, and controls the active element to slow down or further spin up the flywheel to reduce traction that is needed between the wheels of the vehicle and the land surface to navigate the determined incremental directional change of the moving vehicle. The flywheel is maintained in a fixed orientation with respect to the body of the moving vehicle during the spinning up or slowing down of the flywheel.

Each processor executes the same transaction. Two of the processors receive a request to process the same transaction. Each of the two processors execute the request to process the same transaction. The executing of the request generates the data and at least some of the data is expected diverging data. Each of the two processors create indicia from the data. Some of the indicia is diverging indicia generated from the expected diverging data. The same transaction tag is assigned to each of the indicia. The correspondence table is populated with the transaction tag and the expected diverging data, thereby mapping the diverging indicia created by each of the two processors that executed the same transaction. The indicia associated with the same transaction tag are compared to each other.

The multi-node or multi-processor systems receive both matching and non-duplicated requests. In operation, each node or processor receives either a matching or non-duplicated request to access the resource. For the matching request, indicia of the request to access the resource is computed at each node or processor and is then compared between nodes or processors. Access to the resource is given to a node or processor when the computed indicia matches. For the non-duplicated request, a determination is made as to whether direct access to the resource is authorized for the request, and, if direct access is authorized, access to the resource is given to a node or processor.

Indicia of the request to be performed on data in the database associated with each node is computed and is sent to a comparator which outputs a comparison result for each of the matching requests. First or second follow-up actions are performed respectively when the result of the comparison shows a match or mismatch.

Each node redundantly executes the same transactions to be validated. Each transaction includes one or more data manipulation language (DML) or data definition language (DDL) operations. Results of the DML or DDL, operations are stored in the change log as change log events, wherein the order of the change log events stored in the change log on one node is in a different order than the order of change log events stored in the change log of at least one of the other nodes.

    Abstract: A computer program product is provided for modifying a crankshaft angle of an internal combustion engine (ICE). The ICE includes a crankshaft, and a crankshaft angle sensor. The vehicle includes an energy converter and an energy storage unit. The energy converter is configured to be connected to the crankshaft of the ICE. The energy storage unit is configured to deliver energy to the energy converter when the energy converter acts as a motor, and to store energy output from the energy converter when the energy converter acts as a generator. A current ideal crankshaft angle is calculated. A current slip angle is calculated using an output of the crankshaft angle sensor. The energy converter is activated as a motor to increase the current crankshaft angle when the current slip angle is greater than a predetermined upper threshold value, and the energy converter is activated as a generator to decrease the current crankshaft angle when the current slip angle is less than a predetermined lower threshold value.

The vehicle includes a controllable suspension having a damper, a spring, and an active element, a suspension controller, and a controllable aerodynamic element. The suspension controller receives a trigger after the body of the vehicle is positioned at a level which allows for a predetermined amount of upward suspension travel. The suspension controller generates a first control signal upon receipt of the trigger. The first control signal is sent to the active element to generate the positive impulse. The positive impulse causes application of force to the wheel of the vehicle in a downward direction, thereby dynamically increasing tire traction.

The pending transaction is categorized using the metric of occurrence of the transaction pattern for each transaction pattern in the subset of transaction patterns.

The processor at each of the two nodes puts on their respective local queues the local indicia created at the same node as the processor, and the local indicia received from the other of the two nodes.
