  • Patent number: 10627077
Abstract: A downlight eyebrow includes an elongated L-shaped structure including a first wall and a second wall forming a right angle. The downlight eyebrow may be installed at an upper edge of a vertical structure with the first eyebrow wall extending horizontally away from an upper edge of the structure and the second wall extending vertically downward from the first wall. A reflective material disposed on an interior surface of the second wall provides a primary reflector. A flange that extends from an intermediate point in the eyebrow, downward and away from the second wall, toward the vertical surface may provide a secondary reflector.

  • Patent number: 10610861
Abstract: Determining a biological condition in a mammal by using a cartridge, having fluidic open channels, sealable after receiving a fluid specimen, passing any of the specimen through any of the channels, contacting any reagent stored in a chamber with the specimen in a reaction chamber inducing a reaction and forming a reaction product, a mechanical controller including first urging means applying a force externally onto the chamber to release the reagent, second urging means applying a removable force onto the channels thereby inducing fluidic movement in a first direction in the channels and upon removal of the force causing fluidic movement in an opposite direction, alignment means aligning a reading channel on the cartridge for a detection to take place, an optical reader detecting the reaction product in the reading channel, and a processor receiving data from the optical reader and processing the data to determine the biological condition.

  • Patent number: 10600011
Abstract: Computerized methods and systems for improving engagement with a recommendation engine that recommends items, peers, and services are provided. Stored data of a plurality of users is electronically accessed and analyzed. A respective passive profile is determined for each of the users based on the analyzing of the stored data. The respective passive profiles are then stored for use by the recommendation engine. The recommendation engine can then provide recommendations for at least one of items, peers, and services to a respective user based on at least the respective passive profile. The recommendations may be further based on at least one of an explicit profile comprising information provided by the respective user and an activity profile based on tracked activity of the respective user with regard to prior recommended items.

  • Publication number: 20190301707
Abstract: A disclosed downlight eyebrow includes an elongated L-shaped structure including a first wall and a second wall that may form an angle of approximately 90 degrees. The downlight eyebrow may be installed at or in proximity to an upper edge of a wall, fascia, or other type of vertical structure with the first wall of the eyebrow extending horizontally away from an upper edge of the vertical structure. In this configuration, the second wall of the downlight eyebrow may be oriented in a vertical or substantially vertical plane, extending downward from the first wall, parallel or substantially parallel with the illuminated region and displace from the illuminated region by a width of the first wall. In some embodiments, a reflective material, film, or coating may be disposed on an interior surface of the second wall of the downlight eyebrow, wherein the interior surface of the second wall functions as the primary reflector.
