  • Patent number: 12172358
Abstract: A method of continuously manufacturing a cured membrane includes continuously compounding and mixing a vulcanizable rubber composition in a mixing extruder while continuously removing gasses from the vulcanizable rubber composition during mixing with a vacuum. The vulcanizable rubber composition may be continuously extruded to form an extrudate, which may be continuously calendered to form a green membrane. The green membrane may be continuously cured, such as by a hot air conveyor curing system, to form a cured membrane.

  • Publication number: 20190356866
Abstract: A system disposed in a volume of space can include a first camera disposed in the volume of space, where the first camera captures a first image of a first portion of the volume of space. The system can also include a second camera disposed in the volume of space, where the second camera captures a second image of a second portion of the volume of space. The system can further include a controller communicably coupled to the first camera and the second camera. The controller can receive the first image from the first camera and the second image from the second camera. The controller can also generate a resulting image by combining the first image and the second image. The controller can further perform an action using the resulting image.

  • Publication number: 20070207001
Abstract: A method of transporting insulation panels to a location, the method comprising providing a plurality of insulation panels; placing a predetermined number of said insulation panels into stacks, said stacks including a top surface, lateral sides and a bottom surface; covering said stack with a heat shrinkable material, wherein said heat shrinkable material covers said top surface and said lateral sides, at least a portion of said material extending below the intersection between said bottom surface and said lateral sides; heating said heat shrinkable material, thereby shrinking said heat shrinkable material substantially flush against said lateral sides; loading a plurality of stacks on a vehicle; and moving said vehicle with said plurality of stocks to the location.

  • Publication number: 20070194482
Abstract: A process for preparing a multi-layer roofing or structural membrane is provided including a top sheet including co-extruding a cap and inner layer and bonding the top sheet to a bottom sheet. The use of the co-extrusion process allows for multi-layer sheets that reduce the need for expensive fillers in all but a cap layer of the membrane. A scrim reinforcement layer is optionally embedded in the membrane. When installed on a roof substrate, the membrane can be sealed by heat welding the seams of the membrane sheets or by other means.
