Abstract: A method of gathering evidence of a crime or terrorist incident comprises surveilling an area with one or more cameras and, optionally, one or more audio pick-ups (e.g., microphones) installed in or on a large number of automobiles, trucks, buses, and other vehicles. Evidence of an incident may be collected and processed for use by law-enforcement officials in identifying perpetrators and may be used before a grand jury or court-of-law.
