  • Publication number: 20140317146
Abstract: A method and system for the computerized construction and management of complex ecosystem relationship models that can be viewed as graph databases. The system uses a well-defined and constrained entity and relationship vocabulary with bidirectional entity relationships. Relationships are further constrained so that there is a set of allowed relationships between classes of entities. Combining of ecosystem models can be accomplished by the merging of the common entities in each ecosystem while maintaining their existing relationships to other entities. Additionally, process orchestration can be dynamic by querying the entities and relationship properties to control the steps of the workflow.

  • Patent number: 7698230
Abstract: A transaction receiver obtains a transaction packet comprising at least one document and instructions for processing the at least one document to complete a transaction. Thereafter, a rule parser accesses a transaction policy statement associated with the transaction packet including one or more rules for allowing the at least one document to be electronically signed. A verification agent then determines whether the rules of the transaction policy statement are met, after which a signature inhibitor prevents the at least one document from being electronically signed unless each rule of the transaction policy statement is met.

  • Patent number: 7693185
Abstract: A method and apparatus for the computerized management of a digital ecosystems through the creation and management of intelligent information packets that enable computerized management of the creation, flow, and use of electronic and optically scanned paper documents. An XML packet is structured to combine document data, comprising electronic or optically scanned documents, with rules, work-flow controls, audit capability, and signature controls. Tamper proofing ensures validity of information, such as legal documents, that requires proof and tracking of official origin, approval, or status.

  • Patent number: 7086085
Abstract: A level of trust is determined based on a combination of scores for one or more successful authentications. Scores indicate relative degrees of reliability for authentications, so that differing authentication methods may correspond to different scores. The determined level of trust can then be used to allow or deny access to a resource, and can be used to specify the type of access that is allowed, if applicable.

  • Publication number: 20040139327
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for digitally signing an electronic document by a plurality of signers includes determining a signing role of each signer; identifying a to-be-signed portion of the document corresponding to the signing role of each signer; receiving an indication from each signer to digitally sign the document; and applying the digital signature of each signer to the corresponding to-be-signed portion in response to the indication from each signer.

  • Patent number: 6671805
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for digitally signing an electronic document by a plurality of signers includes determining a signing role of each signer; identifying a to-be-signed portion of the document corresponding to the signing role of each signer; receiving an indication from each signer to digitally sign the document; and applying the digital signature of each signer to the corresponding to-be-signed portion in response to the indication from each signer. A computer-implemented method for processing electronic documents includes receiving a document at a document processing station; reading a processing instruction from a processing portion of the document; identifying a processing service within the document processing station for executing the processing instruction; executing the processing instruction at the document processing station using the identified processing service; and applying a digital signature of the document processing station to the document after the processing is executed.

  • Patent number: 4860515
Abstract: An approved self-supporting form for use in constructing walls is adapted to be reinforced with cementitious materials poured therein, while securely supporting additional building materials on the outside thereof. The walls of the forms themselves are generally comprised of resilient, insulating materials, such as foamed plastics or the like. An anchored securement member is embedded in the concrete interiorly cured in the forms, and also extends to the exterior of the forms, where it is adapted for receipt of conventional attachment elements such as nails or screws. A plurality of the forms may be used to construct walls, much like conventional building blocks. Then, finishing cladding materials such as panelling, wallboard, or the like may be safely secured to the exterior of the forms with such attachment elements, even if the actual foamed sidewalls of such forms become damaged by heat or the like.

  • Patent number: 4068550
Abstract: A foldable bench for converting a normally hand-held electrically powered circular saw into a table saw, wherein the bench is easily portable when folded and highly stable when in use. In particular, the bench employs four foldable leg members having floor engaging extremities movable from a first position wherein the leg members are contained entirely within the bench housing to a second position wherein the floor engaging extremities are positioned laterally beyond the lateral extremities of the upper surface of the bench to thereby provide a compact, portable unit when the leg members are folded and an extremely stable bench when the leg members are extended. Simplicity in design is achieved by extrusion forming the upper surface from a single unitary member having means for slidingly mounting the portable hand-held circular saw and containing side grooves for receiving auxiliary attachment fasteners.
