  • Publication number: 20240081787
Abstract: A method of full-field or “ping-based” Doppler ultrasound imaging allows for detection of Doppler signals indicating moving reflectors at any point in an imaging field without the need to predefine range gates. In various embodiments, such whole-field Doppler imaging methods may include transmitting a Doppler ping from a transmit aperture, receiving echoes of the Doppler ping with one or more separate receive apertures, detecting Doppler signals and determining the speed of moving reflectors. In some embodiments, the system also provides the ability to determine the direction of motion by solving a set of simultaneous equations based on echo data received by multiple receive apertures.

  • Patent number: 6465438
Abstract: The general field of the invention is a method for nucleic acid vaccination for animals to protect them from parvoviral infection. This invention is more particularly related to the preparation and use of parvoviral DNA and its administration to dogs, cats and mink so as to induce an immune response that can protect these animals from disease caused by virulante parvovirus. Nucleic acid immunogens are designed to include the antigenic portions of the parvoviral genome which are incorporated into bacterial plasmids. These plasmids produce the desired parvoviral gene product when introduced into host cells by transfection. Host cells transfected with the parvoviral immunogen expressing plasmids produce a stream ot antigenic proteins to which the host immune system will mount a protective immune response.

  • Patent number: 6206728
Abstract: A shielded electrical connector system includes a conductive chassis having an opening. An electrical connector is insertable into the opening in an insertion direction. The connector includes a dielectric housing mounting a plurality of terminals. A conductive shield is mounted about at least a portion of the housing and includes at least one side wall having a contact beam projecting outwardly therefrom. The contact beam extends back over the side wall to apply a normal force to the chassis adjacent the opening in a direction generally perpendicular to the insertion direction of the connector. In an alternative embodiment, the contact beam is formed to apply a normal force to a surface of the chassis adjacent the opening in a direction generally parallel to the insertion direction of the connector.

  • Patent number: 5980338
Abstract: A one-piece female terminal is provided for interconnection to a post-like male terminal. The female terminal includes a base portion, and a plurality of inwardly curved contact beams integral with and extending from the base portion and defining an interior socket for receiving the male terminal. A plurality of shell fingers are integral with and extend from the base portion exteriorly of the contact beams to provide protection for the beams.

  • Patent number: 5897406
Abstract: An electrical terminal is provided for an electrically heated glass sheet. The terminal includes a base plate defining a central axis generally perpendicular thereto. The base plate is concentric about the axis to facilitate spin-soldering the terminal to a conductive pad on the glass sheet. A terminal post projects upwardly from the base plate for connection to an appropriate mating terminal. The terminal is a drawn, one-piece laminated structure including a base conductor layer and a solder layer.
