  • Patent number: 8135862
Abstract: An example method for real-time bi-directional data management includes receiving a requested data list from a field application, receiving an available data list from a data source, and subscribing to available data by mapping the available data list to the requested data list, the available data having a first data format and a first protocol and including a first context identifier for identifying a portion of data. The method further includes modifying the available data have a second data format and a second protocol, the modified data including the first context identifier, and performing a field operation based on the modified data to generate processed data, the processed data including the first context identifier. The method further includes modifying the processed data to generate second modified data having the first data format and the first protocol, the second modified data being stored in the data source.

  • Patent number: 7711772
Abstract: A method for transmitting a plurality of data streams between a client and a server when the number of said data streams exceeds a number of accessible physical connections between the client and the server. The method includes steps for associating each of the data streams with a corresponding transaction handler; creating transactions for each of the data streams in response to receiving a request from the corresponding transaction handler to transmit its corresponding data stream; and responsive to determining that one of the physical connections to the server is accessible, transmitting each transaction over the available connection so that transactions from each of the data streams are transmitted in a near real time manner.

  • Patent number: 6519568
Abstract: The present invention comprises a data delivery system for delivering oilfield data from an acquisition site to a remote delivery site comprising a central data hub computer that processes a workflow order for controlling delivery of the oilfield data, a data acquisition site computer that transmits oilfield data over a first communications network to the central data hub in near real-time in response to the workflow order and a data server that receives data from the central data hub over a second communications network. The data server communicates with multiple remote delivery site computers for the simultaneous display of oilfield data in near real-time at the multiple delivery site computers in response to the workflow order.
