Abstract: A system and methods including workstations for use in office spaces where the workstations include electrical couplers and power distribution systems for coupling portable and rechargeable batteries to the arrangements and delivering electrical charge to affordance devices where battery charging stations are located at different locations throughout a facility and alerts including nearest charging station with fully charged batteries are provided to employees at the stations when battery depletion thresholds are met or where batteries are automatically delivered to facility locations via automated robotic carts when needed.

Abstract: A spacecraft comprised of a plurality of functionally organized, fully independent modules. Selected ones of the modules are moveable foldably in a “clamshell”-like manner between assembled positions, wherein various components of the spacecraft are generally not readily accessible, to a service position in which virtually all of the components of the spacecraft are substantially readily accessible for service or testing. Logically organized and routed harnesses comprised of numerous electrical and mechanical elements enable the clamshell-like folding movement of selected modules. Conventional electrical and mechanical connectors associated with the harnesses permit quick detachment and complete removal of selected modules from the spacecraft.

Abstract: The cartridge has a memory for containing an information set, a status flag and a buffer for receiving an update to the information set, the update representing a change to only a part of the information set, and a data and power connector for connecting the cartridge to a host computer, the connector being able to receive power from the host computer and exchange data when connected to the host computer. The cartridge includes a power supply election switch including a battery for selectively supplying power from the host computer when the connector is connected and from the battery when disconnected. The update is transferred to the buffer and subsequently from the buffer to the information set in response to the status flag, such that in the event of a disconnection, while the update is being received, the information set is not partially updated.
