  • Patent number: 9302214
Abstract: A pressure-swing adsorption process for producing a purified nitrogen trifluoride (NF3) product gas from a feed gas contaminated with carbon tetrafluoride (CF4) using a column packed with an adsorbent that exhibits selectivity for NF3 over CF4. The process separates the feed gas into a first product gas having a greater concentration of CF4 than the feed gas and a second product gas having a lesser concentration of CF4 without the use of an inert carrier gas while recovering essentially all of the NF3. The process includes filling the column with the feed gas until the column reaches a first pressure, removing the first product gas, and then removing the second product gas, where after the second product gas is removed the column is at a second pressure. A rinse gas of NF3 and CF4 may be used to remove the first product gas or the second product gas.

  • Publication number: 20150324715
Abstract: A method and system for measuring financial risk in logistics transactions is disclosed. Historical data from processing logistics transactions is reviewed with analysis tools to determine risk scores in key areas. The method may be updated for new components representing high risk in logistics and to refresh risk scores periodically. In embodiments, a module generates risk score results for a given client profile, which may include actual or estimated inputs for both activity levels and a control configuration. Control configuration inputs include not only the basic controls in place for risk mitigation, but also the data enhancements applied for every control as implemented by the client. The client data inputs originate from shippers, logistics service providers, financiers, auditors or other logistics ecosystem partners. The outputs include quantified risk score results in various formats, which may be accessed by computer, smart phone, tablet, mobile device, or via an Internet browser.

  • Patent number: 8899348
Abstract: A system and method have a choke in fluid communication with a rotating control device. The choke controls flow of drilling mud from the rotating control device to a gas separator during a controlled pressure drilling operation, such as managed pressure drilling (MPD) or underbalanced drilling (UBD). A probe is in fluid communication with the drilling mud between the choke and the gas separator. During operations, the probe evaluates gas in the drilling mud from the well passing from the choke to the gas separator.
