  • Publication number: 20180057659
Abstract: A polyarylene composition containing one or more polyarylenes and one or more sterically hindered phenolic stabilizers. The polyarylene composition has enhanced resistance to discoloration and degradation under thermal stress.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 6, 2017
    Publication date: March 1, 2018
    Applicant: SOLVAY ADVANCED POLYMERS, L.L.C.
Inventors: Suresh SRIRAM, Bruce J. CLARK, Gregory C. PLITHIDES

  • Patent number: 8319656
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus of downhole time interlaced communications are provided. The method includes setting command intervals for first and second communications systems associated with downhole tools. Each command interval is a delay value between consecutive commands greater than an actual command duration to define periods of communications inactivity. The command interval of the second communications system is slightly greater than that of the first to overcome any drift. The method includes detecting communications interference between the systems and applying temporarily a positive command interval shift to the first communications system and a negative command interval shift to the second communications system so that a duration of a resynchronization is minimized.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 29, 2009
Date of Patent: November 27, 2012
    Assignee: Baker Hughes Incorporated
Inventors: Bruce J. Clark, Matthias Volkert, Edwin J. Coutts
  • Publication number: 20110144252
Abstract: Polyarylene compositions including one or more organic substances. The organic substances can be selected from the group consisting of a paraffin, an olefin, an olefin oligomer, an alkoxylated acyclic carboxylic acid, an alkoxylated acyclic carboxylic acid amide, an acyclic carboxylic acid, an acyclic carboxylic acid ester, an acyclic carboxylic acid alkali metal salt, an acyclic carboxylic acid amide, an alkoxylated acyclic alcohol, an acyclic alcohol, an alkoxylated alkyl phenol and an alkyl phenol. The organic substances provide improved processability. Further inclusion of a sterically hindered phenol provides tougher polyarylene compositions.
