  • Publication number: 20130186835
Abstract: A method and system of providing ultrapure water for semiconductor fabrication operations is provided. The water is treated by utilizing a free radical scavenging system and a free radical removal system. The free radical scavenging system can utilize actinic radiation with a free radical precursor compound, such as ammonium persulfate. The free radical removal system can comprise use of a reducing agent. The ultrapure water may be further treated by utilizing ion exchange media and degasification apparatus. A control system can be utilized to regulate addition of the precursor compound, the intensity of the actinic radiation, and addition of the reducing agent to the water.

  • Patent number: 8251991
Abstract: An anchoring member comprises a support structure and at least one anchor secured to the anchoring member. An anchor deflection member supports the anchoring member for sliding longitudinal movement in directions which result in advancement and retraction of a point on the anchor. A deflection lip is positioned relatively inwardly with respect to the guide surface. The deflection lip is positioned to outwardly deflect the point of the anchor as the anchor is advanced from a position removed from the deflection lip toward the deflection lip into contact with the deflection lip and beyond the deflection lip.

  • Publication number: 20110230874
Abstract: A method of ablating a uterine fibroid using a particular trocar is disclosed. The trocar comprises a plurality of ablation stylets mounted for movement from within the trocar to positions extending from the trocar. The trocar is adjustable to assume a plurality of configurations, each of the configurations having the stylets extended to a different extent from the trocar. A region to be ablated is imaged. The region may correspond to all or a portion of a uterine fibroid. The size of the region to be ablated is noted. The size of the region to be ablated is compared to a matrix of known ablation regions, each of the known ablation regions being associated with one of the configurations of the particular trocar, and each of the known ablation regions being associated with a position of the trocar relative to the known ablation region. The region to be ablated is associated with a most nearly matching known ablation region by comparison of the region to be ablated to the known ablation regions.

  • Patent number: 7938193
Abstract: The vehicle mounted edging device provides a safe and efficient means for edging grass and soil adjacent to improved surfaces. The device is attached to the remotely actuated bed of a utility vehicle and utilizes the lifting capabilities of the bed for its operation. When the disc is in the cutting position, the operator of the utility vehicle positions the vehicle near the edge of the surface to be maintained and lowers the remotely actuated bed of the utility vehicle to place the disc adjacent to the surface to be maintained. The operator then drives the vehicle parallely to the edge of the path and remove the unwanted grass. The vehicle mounted edging device effectively guides the utility vehicle along the edge of the path so that minimal steering is required and is oriented to enable the operator to easily monitor the edging operation.
