  • Patent number: 11027881
Abstract: A reinforced plastic pallet includes an integrally formed deck having a top deck surface, a bottom deck surface, and a plurality of spaced apart supports extending between the top deck surface and the bottom deck surface. The top deck surface has a plurality of outwardly extending top ribs extending from the top deck surface and the bottom deck surface has a plurality of outwardly extending bottom ribs extending from the bottom deck surface. A top sheet is coupled to the top deck surface to fully enclose the top ribs between the top sheet and the top deck surface. A bottom sheet is coupled to the bottom deck surface and encloses the bottom ribs between the bottom sheet and the bottom deck surface. The pallet may include optional reinforcement rods fully contained within channels formed in the ribs.

  • Patent number: 9528721
Abstract: The present invention relates to composite coating systems and methods for the manufacture and reconstruction of condensate pans, floors or other internal structures of a heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) or heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) unit. The composite coating system comprises a base epoxy coating and a top surface coating. The base epoxy coating is substantially free of volatile organic compounds (VOC's) and adheres to the condensate pans, floors or other internal structures of the HVAC or HVACR unit to fill pinholes and to provide corrosion and water resistance, and the top surface coating provides a barrier to high thermal exposure of the base coating.

  • Patent number: 6093488
Abstract: A ceiling panel is provided which employs a systems approach involving ducting for ventilation, lighting and optionally sprinklers. The ceiling panel is made from a thermoplastic deposit material containing inorganic fibers which are held in compression by thermoplastic matrix material. The thermoplastic composite exhibits the desired electrical insulative, fire resistant, reduced weight, and economic properties for the ceiling panel. The ceiling panel provides a systems approach combining the desired features associated with ceilings, namely, ventilation, lighting and sprinkler systems, while employing a material that exhibits the desired properties of electrical insulation, fire resistance and low weight.

  • Patent number: 5687532
Abstract: A plastic article such as a thermoplastic extruded door frame or laminated composite floor for railroad cars having at least one internal cavity wherein the cavity is filled with an intumescent. When exposed to fire, such an article retards or inhibits the break-through of fire into an adjoining compartment or room for a sufficient time to allow occupants thereof to evacuate the adjoining compartment or to extinguish the fire. The article has at least one internal cavity filled with an intumescent and meets the requirements of ASTM E 152. The plastics employed herein may be either thermoplastic or thermoset.

  • Patent number: 5477652
Abstract: This invention is directed to a composite security wall system having high impact performance and meets certain fire codes. The composite comprises a thermoplastic sheet preferably a polycarbonate sheet and a dry wall type product such as gypsum board, laminated together with an adhesive. The composite is then fastened to wall studs with the thermoplastic sheet on the inside, i.e. in contact with the wall studs. When thus so placed, the composite provides a security wall having high impact performance and meets certain fire codes.
