    Abstract: A support device for adjustably supporting and locking a hanger bar member carrying a stirrup strap in predetermined axial positions along a support bar fixed to one side of the saddle. The hanger bar member includes a sleeve having a detent adapted to travel in channels formed in the surface of the support bar for positioning and locking the hanger bar member and the stirrup strap in various positions upon the saddle.
