A method for monitoring digital images on mobile devices includes receiving a designation of a target device and monitoring settings for the target device via a monitoring application on a monitoring device. The monitoring settings are sent to a target application on the target device, and target device information based on the monitoring settings is received from the target application, where the target device information includes digital image information. The target device information is sent to the monitoring device.
