Publication number: 20240087869Abstract: Systems and approaches for semiconductor metrology and surface analysis using Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) are disclosed. In an example, a secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) system includes a sample stage. A primary ion beam is directed to the sample stage. An extraction lens is directed at the sample stage. The extraction lens is configured to provide a low extraction field for secondary ions emitted from a sample on the sample stage. A magnetic sector spectrograph is coupled to the extraction lens along an optical path of the SIMS system. The magnetic sector spectrograph includes an electrostatic analyzer (ESA) coupled to a magnetic sector analyzer (MSA).Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2023Publication date: March 14, 2024Applicant: NOVA MEASURING INSTRUMENTS INC.Inventors: David A. Patent number: 11165185Abstract: A connector system includes a cage assembly in which a thermally conductive heat sink and a connector are mounted. The heat sink includes a base, a ramp extending downwardly from the base and a pedestal extending downwardly from the base. A thermal interface material is disposed on lower surface of the pedestal. A module can be inserted into the cage assembly and connected to the connector and to the heat sink. Thermal energy generated by the module is transferred to the heat sink which dissipates the heat by convention. The ramp protects a leading edge of the thermal interface material form engagement by the module during insertion of the module into the cage assembly.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2018Date of Patent: November 2, 2021Assignee: Molex, LLCInventors: Brian Keith Lloyd, Bruce Reed, Saiyed Muhammad Hasan Ali
