  • Publication number: 20230332573
Abstract: A method of controlling the operation of a wind turbine is provided, wherein a control scheme is determined for the wind turbine, wherein the control scheme specifies for a future period of time at least a first operating period in which the wind turbine is operated to provide an output of electrical power to a power grid and at least one shutdown period in which the wind turbine is shut down, the shutdown period being arranged temporally after the first operating period. The wind turbine is operated in accordance with the control scheme. Determining the control scheme includes the obtaining of input data, wherein obtaining input data comprises at least monitoring operation of the wind turbine to obtain monitoring data related to the integrity of the wind turbine, and obtaining weather data indicating weather conditions, and the forecasting of two or more operating parameters.

  • Patent number: 8491112
Abstract: An ink jet printhead cartridge includes a cartridge body including a base and a plurality of side walls extending upwardly from the base. A filter tower having a tower wall has an interior surface that defines a location of a tower passageway. A printhead chip assembly is attached to the base of the cartridge body in fluid communication with the tower passageway. A filter is attached to the filter tower at a distal end thereof. An ink fill access port is formed through a side wall of the plurality of sidewalls, and through the tower wall of the filter tower, to define a fluid path from the atmosphere external to the cartridge body to the tower passageway of the filter tower to facilitate the injection of ink directly into the filter tower during an ink filling operation for the ink jet printhead cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20070079154
Abstract: Embodiments of the current invention describe an approach for configuring a platform resource table. The platform resource table is configured using information from both the platform management system and the platform resource provider system. The platform resource table is then communicated to the platform resource provider system via a platform interface to select and invoke platform state transitions to improve power efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20060132086
Abstract: A power source selection approach of one embodiment includes a voltage monitor to monitor a system supply voltage and to assert a droop signal if the system supply voltage droops below a threshold voltage. A power source selector is responsive to assertion of the droop signal to configure at least one power source, such as, for example, a battery pack, to attempt to provide sufficient voltage such that a system supply voltage is raised above the threshold voltage.

  • Publication number: 20060043946
Abstract: A method, circuit, and system for providing a power good signal for a voltage regulator are described. The voltages of the two input pins to an error amplifier within a voltage regulator may be compared to determine if the error amplifier is operating in the linear range. If it is determined the error amp is operating in the linear range, then the voltage regulator is operating properly, and the power good signal may be set to a high level.

  • Patent number: 6927661
Abstract: The magnetic device consists of a planar winding board, which contains the windings for both the inductor and the transformer. Thus, this invention centers on integrating the windings of multiple magnetic devices, not integrating the cores. By connecting the transformer secondary winding directly to the output inductor winding without using any intermediate headers and/or termination pins or conductive copper traces, both electrical path and the termination resistance will be minimized. Furthermore, the number of headers or termination pins required will also be reduced, which helps to not only alleviate the issue associated with co-planarity of the termination pins, but also reduce the cost of the material and manufacturing.

  • Patent number: 6548120
Abstract: Recyclable and repulpable coated paper stock, preferably for use as ream wrap, comprising a substrate coated on at least one surface with a base coat and at least one additional coat over said base coat. Both coats are water based dispersions of a polymer selected from the group consisting of acrylic polymers, acrylic copolymers, polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, ethylene-vinyl acetate, polyvinyl chloride, styrene butadiene copolymers, polyvinylidiene chloride and its copolymers, or starch. The wax free coating forms a pin-hole free continuous film on the substrate which is resistant to water and water vapor. The invention also includes processes for making and recycling the invented coated paper stocks.
