  • Publication number: 20240150884
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for producing covetic materials by exciting a hydrocarbon gas with pulse microwaves to form hydrocarbon radicals in a hot first region of a microwave reactor. Graphene nanoplatelets are formed by the nucleation, growth, and assembly of the hydrocarbon radicals, and contact a metal melt introduced downstream of the hot region to produce a mixture of molten metal and graphene nanoplatelets which assemble in-flight to form covetic materials.

  • Publication number: 20230066012
Abstract: Systems and methods include, responsive to a request to test or troubleshoot a software system including a plurality of sub-components that communicate with one another via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), creating one or more gadgets that one or more of inject data in any sub-component and probes responses from any sub-component; performing one or more tests of one of more of the plurality of sub-components utilizing the one or more gadgets to invoke specific behavior of the software system and to collect internal data to examine correctness of the behavior; and subsequent to the one or more tests, removing the one or more gadgets. The one or more gadgets are non-intrusive and do not alter behavior of the plurality of sub-components.

  • Patent number: 7523396
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture provide the ability to manipulate a drawing surface in a CAD/GIS computer application. A drawing surface is displayed in a CAD/GIS application followed by the performance of a surface edit operation on the drawing surface. The surface edit operation is stored/saved as an atomic property in a list of surface edit operations. The list of surface edit operations is displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI). Each surface edit operation may be independently toggled on/off in the GUI and such toggling is reflected in the CAD/GIS application by displaying an effect of executing the surface edit operation if toggled on and displaying the drawing surface without execution of the surface edit operation if toggled off.

  • Patent number: 5483580
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for non-simultaneously creating and storing in electronic format a composite voice/data message having a recorded voice message portion and a facsimile transmittal portion. The method provides for creating a voice message and sending a time-wise separated facsimile transmittal to a voice message/data storage system, and then associating the separate voice message and facsimile transmittal portions to form a composite voice/data message. The methods include a message identification scheme wherein a message identification number is assigned to the first-received message portion, and the caller is prompted to provide that message identification number in connection with the later-received message portion. Apparatus to accomplish these methods steps is also provided.
