Patent number: 11930734Abstract: An agricultural implement for applying fertilizer beneath the surface of the soil. The implement has a main frame for connecting the agricultural implement to agricultural equipment. A swing arm is pivotally connected to the main frame. An adjustable actuator interconnects the swing arm to the main frame to control the movement of the swing arm with respect to the main frame. A pair of discs are mounted to the free end of the swing arm for rotation with respect to the swing arm. The discs are offset mounted with respect to one another and are angled outwardly with respect to the direction of travel of the implement. The discs form grooves for receipt of fertilizer. Fertilizer tubes are mounted adjacent the discs and terminate behind the discs with respect to the direction of travel. The fertilizer tubes deposit fertilizer in the grooves formed by the discs. A furrow closer is attached to the main frame to close the groove opened by the discs.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2021Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: AG FOCUS LLCInventors: Bruce W. Publication number: 20230329141Abstract: A conversion kit for a debris clearing device, having a mounting frame with a device section for receipt of a seeding unit mounted debris clearing device. The device section has a first mount adapted for connection of a seeding unit mounted debris clearing device to the device section of the mounting frame. A tool bar section is spaced from the device section. The tool bar section has a second mount for attachment of the mounting frame to a tool bar. A central section connects the device section and the tool bar section. The conversion kit allows a seeding unit mounted debris clearing device to be mounted to the device section of the conversion kit and then mounted to a tool bar instead of a seeding unit of an agricultural device.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2023Publication date: October 19, 2023Inventor: Bruce W. Patent number: 11707012Abstract: The present invention is a row cleaning device having a main body with a proximal end and a distal end, the main body proximal end is adapted to mount to a seeder. A pivot leg has a first end and a second end, the first end is pivotally mounted to the main body distal end at a pivot, the second end extends toward the main body proximal end. A clearing implement is mounted to the pivot leg second end and rotates with respect to the pivot leg. The row cleaning device is adapted to be driven by a seeder in a direction of travel with the clearing implement being located behind the pivot in the direction of travel. The pivot leg pivots with respect to the main body as the clearing implement moves along the ground in the direction of travel.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2020Date of Patent: July 25, 2023Assignee: AGFOCUS LLCInventors: Bruce W. Freed, Brian E. Freed
