  • Patent number: 11960334
Abstract: Cable assemblies for providing electrical communication between hinged sections of an electronic device are described. The cable assemblies can include a cover that covers one or more cables that run through a hinge region of the electronic device. The cable and cover can be drawn over a mandrel of the hinge region. The cover and the portions of the mandrel can be visible to a user at the hinge region of the electronic device. The cover can be sufficiently rigid to guide a path of the cable and protect the cable from bending beyond a prescribed angle during rotation of the electronic device at the hinge region. The cover can also be sufficiently rigid to prevent ceasing or folding of the cover and the cable during rotation of the electronic device at the hinge region.

  • Patent number: 7688723
Abstract: A system for analyzing at least a portion of a telecommunications network is provided. The system includes a traffic flow analyzer 124 operable to (a) assign a plurality of network components to at least first, second, and third component sets 1216, 1220 and 1224, respectively, wherein the first and second component sets correspond to voice communication endpoints; (b) determine bulk voice traffic flows at least one of generated and received by the first and second component sets and passing through the third component set; and (c) based on the bulk voice traffic flow passing through the third component set, determine a requirement for the third component set to realize a selected grade and/or quality of service.

  • Patent number: 7523447
Abstract: A software-controlled computational component for processing input data is provided that includes a control program 148 for controlling the operation of a first computational component, an input for input data, and an output for output data. Each of the machine code for the control program, the input data, and the output data are expressed in a markup language, such as Extensible Markup Language.

  • Patent number: 6907045
Abstract: A method and apparatus for triggering data-path conversion utilizing PCM bit robbing signalling. The method and apparatus permits the pass-through of compressed voice packets over a PCM stream between dissimilar interconnected networks or dissimilar payload specifications in the interconnected networks, and also provides the capability to convert the packets to a different payload specification between the networks. Once a voice path is established between the two networks, the incoming PCM data stream is monitored for a voice synchronization pattern which appears periodically in a predetermined bit position in the PCM samples. Upon detection of a matching voice synchronization pattern, a pass-through mode for the voice data between the networks is initiated. A data or payload conversion operation may also be initiated on detection of the matching voice synchronization pattern.
