  • Publication number: 20180027723
Abstract: The objective of this application is to reveal enhancements and extensions of the previously patented Tractor-Mounted Excavation Implement, awarded Nov. 24, 2015 to Bruce Wade McGee, and assigned U.S. Pat. No. 9,194,103 B2. McGee's Tractor Mounted Excavation Implement is useful in small-scale construction, hobby farming or gardening, landscaping, irrigation, utilities and pipe laying, roadside or city development and maintenance in some areas, land-owner maintenance, and possibly firefighting with rapid excavation needs in some less dense forests. This application adds apparatuses to include usefulness in creating gardening or landscaping beds, and shallow graded excavations for sidewalk or simple slabs.

  • Publication number: 20170218598
Abstract: A vehicle-attached, task-associated excavation implement with interchangeable rotational excavation apparatuses is conceptualized in this application. The implement is similar to McGee's Tractor-Mounted Excavation Implement, but is conceptualized in a new way of combing parts or portions of the implement with vehicles currently existing in the prior art, without the need for a tractor equipped with power-take-off. This vehicle-attached implement can be supported by a variety of motorized vehicles, utilizing a variety of apparatus-powering options. An assortment of steering options could be used, and movements of the apparatuses, either with or separate from the implement, provide diverse functionality. Tasks supported by the rotational excavating apparatuses include Foundation footings, trenches, rounded ditches, shallow V-shaped ditches, landscape or garden beds, and shallow graded depressions for sidewalks or simple slabs.

  • Patent number: 9194103
Abstract: A tractor-mounted three-point-hitch implement, powered by the tractor power-take-off, with a rotational excavating apparatus for the excavation of linear depressions, including foundation footings, ditches and trenches. The rotational excavating apparatus for footings or trenches, having flat horizontal base and straight vertical sides, is cylindrical, drum-shaped, and made in sections, to allow for changes in width of depression. It is surfaced with claws and it rotates opposite the direction of the implement's movement, placing excavated spoils on the banks. The drum-shaped rotational excavating apparatus is removable for installing different sizes and shapes of rotational excavating apparatuses. A rotational excavating apparatus of spherical shape is used to form circular or rounded-U-shaped ditches, and one of prolate ellipsoid shape is used to form parabolic or rounded-V-shaped ditches that are shallow and easily mowed. The depth of cut is adjustable by the hydraulic lift on the tractor.

  • Publication number: 20140059898
Abstract: A tractor mounted three-point-hitch implement for the excavation of square shaped foundation footings with a large rotational cutting wheel powered by the tractor power-take-off. The cutting wheel, made in sections, is surfaced with claws and rotates opposite the direction of movement, placing spoils on the banks. Cutting wheel is also removable for installing different size and shapes of cutting wheels. Included is a round-ditcher cutting wheel of spherical shape, and a shallow-ditcher cutting wheel that forms a shallow, easily mowed ditch. The depth of cut is adjustable by the hydrolic lift on tractor.

  • Publication number: 20070135534
Abstract: The present invention includes polymer films that comprise lanthanum hexaboride and an epoxy agent. The lanthanum hexaboride and epoxy agent can be incorporated into or onto a polymer film in any suitable manner. The addition of an epoxy agent surprisingly provides a stabilization effect to the lanthanum hexaboride, which allows for the production of polymer films that advantageously absorb infrared radiation and resist environmental degradation. Polymer films thus produced have a significant number of applications, for example, but not limited to, display devices, protective coverings, and glazing film applications.

  • Publication number: 20070134499
Abstract: The present invention is in the field of polymer sheets and multiple layer glazing panels comprising infrared absorbing agents, and, more specifically, the present invention is in the field of polymer sheets and multiple layer glazing panels comprising infrared absorbing agents that selectively absorb infrared radiation. In various embodiments of the present invention, an interlayer includes lanthanum hexaboride, which effectively absorbs infrared radiation at about 1,000 nanometers, and an epoxy, which stabilizes the lanthanum hexaboride agent.

  • Publication number: 20070112099
Abstract: The present invention is directed to the use of continuous extrusion devices to form high quality polymer dispersions. Screw extruder devices of the present invention inject water into a zone of high pressure, temperature, and shear to cause the rapid inversion of a weld in less than, for example, one minute, which compares very favorably with conventional batch methods, which can take, for example, two or more hours to complete an inversion. This rapid inversion—a surprising result given the extended time inversion requires in batch processes—allows for the continuous production of polymer dispersions.
