The output phase signal analyzer measures an amplitude and phase of at least one frequency component of the output phase signal at a frequency related to the polarization modulation. The controller generates a signal indicative of a differential group delay of the device under test utilizing the measured amplitude and phase. The controller also measures a group delay associated with the device under test.
