Abstract: A method of determining a set of prescribed actions includes receiving a configuration script identifying a set of influencers, a set of performance indicators, a model type, a target time, and a prescription method. The method further includes deriving a model of the model type based on data associated with the set of influencers or with the set of performance indicators. The method also includes projecting a set of future influencer values associated with the set of influencers and projecting a set of future indicator values of the set of performance indicators at the target time using the model. The method can further include prescribing using the prescription method and based on projecting using the model a set of prescribed actions associated with the subset of actionable influencers. The method also includes displaying the set of prescribed actions.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a sheet material using fibreglass, such as glass fibres 802,803, fibre glass matting 801 and/or fibreglass webbing/tape 601, and polymer, such as polypropylene. The fibreglass is coated in liquid polymer and formed into sheet material 800, preferably by compression rollers 808,810. The material product is formed, by bending/folding, into desired shapes, such as box sections to form pallet/support platform sections. The formed sections can be fastened together, such as by elongate members passing through a series of aligned apertures between adjacent sections. The elongate members can be heat staked to the sections. Inserts can be used in the ends of the sections to provide additional rigidity and strength. Thus, a composite pallet/support platform can be manufactured in production line form.

Abstract: Modern portable electronic devices are commercially available with ever increasing memory capable of storing tens of thousands of song, hundreds of thousands of images, and hundreds of hours of video. The traditional means of selecting and accessing an item within such devices is with a limited number of keys and requires the user to progressively work through a series of lists, some of which may be very large. Provided is a method for speech recognition that allows users to efficiently select their preferred tune, video, or other information using speech rather than cumbersome scrolling through large lists of available material. Users are able to enter search and command terms verbally to these electronic devices and users who cannot remember the correct name of the audio-visual content are supported by searches based on lyrics, tempo, riff, chorus, and so forth. Further, pseudonyms may be associated with audio-visual content by the user to ease recollection.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for particulate filter regeneration. The apparatus includes a bypass exhaust channel configured to conduct exhaust gasses away from a main exhaust channel and reintroduce the exhaust gasses into the main exhaust channel upstream from a particulate filter, a burner, and a regeneration module configured to monitor exhaust gas variables and divert a portion of the exhaust gasses through the bypass exhaust channel in response to the exhaust gas variables. The system includes a vehicle having an internal combustion engine coupled to a transmission, and the apparatus. The method includes conducting exhaust gasses away from a main exhaust channel and reintroducing the exhaust gasses into the main exhaust channel, raising the temperature of the exhaust gasses, and monitoring exhaust gas variables and selectively diverting a portion of the exhaust gasses through a bypass exhaust channel in response to the exhaust gas variables.

Abstract: A preferred embodiment EGR valve permits exhaust gas to be induced into the intake line downstream of the compressor, while minimizing the need to reduce the size of the turbocharger. The preferred embodiment EGR valve exploits variations around the mean pressure in the EGR passage created by the engine cycle by selectively opening when the pressure in the EGR valve exceeds the pressure in the intake line. Thus, exhaust gas is recirculated even when the engine is running near torque peak. The preferred embodiment EGR valve also exploits the higher mean pressure in the exhaust line relative to the intake line at higher engine speeds by remaining open, in order to minimize the energy consumed in opening and closing the EGR valve.
