  • Patent number: 11884217
Abstract: A vehicle tool rack for storing and accessing various individual equipment elements carried aboard a vehicle comprises a base and a turntable rotatably carried on the base such that the turntable is rotatable relative to the base. A plurality of tool receptacles are carried aboard the turntable, whereby the turntable is adapted to simultaneously receive a plurality of individual equipment elements. A plurality of circumferentially-spaced base magnets are fixedly carried by the base and a plurality of circumferentially-spaced turntable magnets are fixedly carried by the turntable. The base magnets and the turntable magnets remain spaced from one another. • Patent number: 11214132
Abstract: A bidirectional shield system for a roll-up shutter door of an externally accessible vehicle compartment comprises a longitudinally extending shield element and two mounting blocks. The shield element comprises a tray having an open-topped drip catchment reservoir and laterally inwardly projecting locking ears at each end of the shield element. Each mounting block can be fixed to a sidewall of the compartment, has at least one overhanging upper trap projection and carries a pair of latches disposed inferiorly of and spaced from the trap projection. The latches are movable between retracted and extended configurations. With the latches in the extended configuration, the locking ears are trapped between the latches and the trap projections to fix the shield element within the compartment. When the latches are in the retracted configuration, the shield element can move away from the trap projections for removal of the shield element from the compartment.

  • Patent number: 11142946
Abstract: A roller-shutter door system comprises a pair of opposed substantially parallel guide rails and a door formed by longitudinally hinged door slats coupled to a retraction roller. The door can be opened and closed with rotation of the retraction roller, and longitudinal ends of the door slats ride within door guide channels in the guide rails. Exterior side seals may cover a gap between the door slats and the door guide channels, and wear shields may be interposed between coated exterior surfaces of the door slats and the side seals so that the side seals bear on the wear shields instead of the coated exterior surfaces. The guide rails may have equipment channels on interior sides thereof, and radius guides may be releasably received in open superior ends of the equipment channels. The radius guides have outwardly facing guide surfaces to guide the door slats toward the retraction roller.

  • Publication number: 20090200966
Abstract: An illumination unit comprises at least one electrical coupling element for receiving electrical current from a current source and coupling the illumination unit into an electrical system, a light-carrying member, and an electrical circuit adapted for electrical coupling to the current source via the electrical coupling element. The electrical circuit comprises at least one light-emitting diode carried by the light-carrying member, and a current interrupter component interposed in the electrical circuit. The current interrupter component permits current flow within the electrical circuit when a parameter of the electrical circuit remains below a predetermined value, and opens the electrical circuit in response to the parameter of the electrical circuit exceeding the predetermined value. The current interrupter component may be carried by the light-carrying member, or may be contained within an exterior envelope at least partially surrounding the electrical circuit.

  • Patent number: 6057875
Abstract: A remotely-controlled cable equalization system includes a control unit containing a non-volatile memory, a plurality of remote video display devices, each of which includes an adjustable cable equalization circuit, and an interface for connecting the control unit to each of the plurality of remote video display devices. Each of the plurality of remote video display devices includes a receiver for receiving a 12-bit digital code, from the control unit, through the interface. A 12-bit register is connected to the receiver and a 12-bit digital-to-analog converter is then connected to the 12-bit register, for receiving a 12-bit digital code from the 12-bit register and for converting the digital signal to an analog signal.

  • Patent number: 5796185
Abstract: A system on an aircraft that eliminates hot-swapping of circuit boards to prevent damage to the circuit board connector interfaces. The system supplies power to a circuit card only when there is an effective coupling between a circuit card connector and an opposite mating connector. A power control circuit responds to a card present signal which indicates when the circuit card connector is coupled to the opposite mating connector. A logic circuit converts the card present signal to a power supply enable signal. A main power supply receives the power supply enable signal and provides power to the circuit card only when the circuit card connector and the opposite mating connector are appropriately coupled.

  • Patent number: 5246054
Abstract: A roll-up door operable to slide between tracks by using an operating mechanism having a handle which extends substantially the width of the door. When the handle is pushed, it pivots in a housing attached to the door to an actuated position so that a latch at the end of the handle is retracted clear of a slot in one of the tracks. A spring is also provided between the handle and the housing for biasing the handle to pivot to a relaxed position where the latch is engaged in the slot in the track. The operating mechanism also has a lock which can be turned to position a lock bar between the handle and the housing so that the handle cannot be pivoted to the actuated position.

  • Patent number: 5207259
Abstract: The invention provides a roll-up door for operation with a pre-tensioned balancer and having fastening apparatus comprising a cable with fasteners, one on each end, and which is coupled to the door at first and second positions spaced substantially equally from respective sides of the door. The balancer has a clip located centrally with respect to the first and second positions so that as the cable is positioned on the balancer during initial installation, the cable can adjust in the clip so that the lengths of the cable from the balancer to the door are equalized. The cable is wound onto the balancer as the door is opened. This winding creates sufficient friction between the cables and the balancer to lock the cables to the balancer so that the cables effectively retain their equal lengths during use.
