  • Patent number: 10647074
Abstract: An aerospace vessel including a fuselage, a means for causing the fuselage to fly coupled to the fuselage, and an environmental control system within the fuselage. The environmental control system includes a duct made of closed cell thermoplastic foam, such as polyvinylidene fluoride foam.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 6, 2016
Date of Patent: May 12, 2020
    Assignee: The Boeing Company
Inventors: Walter Forrest Frantz, Jayant D. Patel, Douglas Dean Maben, Bruce Whitman, Douglas E. Freeman
  • Patent number: 10232559
Abstract: A composite structural component includes a longitudinally extending elongated tubular duct of a first material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion, and a plurality of longitudinally extending elongated reinforcing members of a second material. Each of the reinforcing members is secured to the tubular duct along a length of the reinforcing member at spaced apart locations on the tubular duct, with the second material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion less than the first coefficient of thermal expansion, such that the composite structural component has an effective coefficient of thermal expansion in the longitudinal direction that is less than 25% of the first coefficient of thermal expansion. Each of the plurality of reinforcing members is retained in a corresponding one of a plurality of longitudinally extending recesses formed in a peripheral wall of the tubular duct.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 21, 2018
Date of Patent: March 19, 2019
    Assignee: TECHNIFAB, INC.
Inventors: Bruce Whitman, Martin Likozar, Steve Kalman, Cory Kunkel, Theodore Burdoff

  • Patent number: 4508209
Abstract: An accessory attachment for a conveyor has one or more straps mounted on the accessory which can be seated in openings in the side rail of the conveyor. Openings are provided at suitable intervals to permit accessory relocation along the conveyor. The lower end of the strap is inclined to form a cam finger to pull the accessory tightly against the conveyor to form a stop against further downward movement when the top of the strap engages under the wall forming the upper end of the opening in the conveyor rail to prevent unintentional upward movement. The strap has sufficient resilience to permit it to be flexed when it is desired to detach the accessory.
