  • Patent number: 11229297
Abstract: A foundation for a bed system can include an actuator, a deck mechanism operably related to the actuator so as to be actuated between raised and lowered positions in response to actuation by the actuator, and a controller operably connected to the actuator and configured to drive the actuator to actuate the deck mechanism between a lower position and an upper position. The deck mechanism can be configured to move to a service position that is further than the upper position. The deck mechanism can expose and permit access to a serviceable component when the deck mechanism is in the service position. A method of using a foundation having a service position is also described.

  • Patent number: 11228798
Abstract: One high-level aspect of a content-modification system and related methods may involve facilitating content modification by a content-presentation device of received broadcast content in a controlled manner, while under circumstances in which some events that can impact timing may be unpredictable. In particular, certain operations by a content-presentation device may involve matching received content with specific expected content as determined by one or another component of the content-modification system, in order to confirm proper conditions are met for the content-presentation device to proceed with, or continue, content-modification operations. It can happen the matching procedure becomes subject or susceptible to timing irregularities, or jitter. In some instances, jitter may impact the ability to derive the benefits of content modification. Accordingly, example embodiments herein are directed to systems and method for compensation and/or mitigating the effects of jitter.

  • Patent number: 11197536
Abstract: A backcombing brush for backcombing hair includes an array of bristles 4. Each bristle extends from a base to a free end and two lengths of bristle are provided. Shorter bristles 4a and the bottom of longer bristles 4b carry out backcombing, whilst the longer bristles smooth hair, or untangle knots/tangles in the hair to reduce the level of backcombing. The long bristles have a relatively wide first portion 5, towards the base of the bristle, and a relatively narrow second portion 6, towards the free end of the bristle. The bristles are arranged such that bristles in one row neither extend between adjacent bristles in an adjacent row nor partially occlude the space between bristles in an adjacent row.

  • Publication number: 20210383322
Abstract: Systems and methods of managing the collection and delivery of goods using mobile computing devices includes a management system hosted on a server receiving a request from a first user through an application on a computing device for a pick-up of an item from a first location. A second user capable of fulfilling the pick-up request is identified. Details of the pick-up request are transmitted to an application on a second user computing device, wherein a visual map of the first location is displayed on the user computing device. Weight and/or dimensions of the item is uploaded to the application of the second user computing device. Delivery of the item to a second location is validated through at least one code identifier, wherein the code identifier is transmitted from the management system to the first user computing device.

  • Patent number: 11055673
Abstract: A network operator intermediates a cashless transaction by sending a payment device issuer an outbound clearing data file enriched with cleansed merchant data. Issuers that choose to participate in the merchant data cleansing service will be provided with the cleansed, and optionally augmented, merchant information. Providing this data to the issuer could be used to help reduce costs associated with “do not recognize” calls by cardholders, disputed charges, and charge-backs. With cleansed data provided in the clearing record, a device holder would be given access to this cleansed information about the merchant where a transaction took place through their statement. The present disclosure also provides for augmenting the clearing record data to include merchant-specific add-on and/or aggregate data not presently included in the transaction clearing record, yet useful to the issuer both in form and content.
