  • Patent number: 11840457
Abstract: A system for producing particles of aluminum chlorohydrate includes a feed stream configured to have a liquid solution of aluminum chloride, a conveyor belt having a surface configured to hold the liquid solution, a first radiant heat source configured to heat the liquid solution on the surface in order to form solid aluminum chloride hexahydrate, a grinder configured to crush the solid aluminum chloride hexahydrate in order to reduce an overall particle size of the aluminum chloride hexahydrate, and a second radiant heat source configured to heat the aluminum chloride hexahydrate in order to decompose the aluminum chloride hexahydrate and produce the particles of aluminum chlorohydrate. Methods of producing particles of aluminum chlorohydrate are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11634338
Abstract: A method of producing particles of aluminum chlorohydrate includes (a) feeding a solution of aluminum chloride through an atomizer associated with a spray dryer, so that a spray of droplets of the solution is formed in the spray dryer, (b) operating the dryer at a temperature sufficient to cause transformation of the droplets into crystal particulates and to dry the crystal particulates, such dried crystal particulates being aluminum chlorohydrate, and (c) recovering the dried crystal particulates. A product produced by the process is also described.

  • Patent number: 10947124
Abstract: A system and method for producing commercial strength solutions of aluminum chlorohydrate are provided. The method includes providing aluminum chlorohydrate monohydrate (ACHMH) powder, heating water to at least 120° F. and less than 200° F., and dissolving at least a portion of the ACHMH powder into the heated water to form the solution of aluminum chlorohydrate. The produced solution of aluminum chlorohydrate from the ACHMH powder has an aluminum oxide concentration ranging from about 18 wt % to about 27 wt %, has a basicity ranging from greater than 74% and less than 83%, and has a freezing point ranging from about 10° F. to about 16° F. The solution may also have an iron content of between about 0 to about 70 ppm as Fe.

  • Patent number: 10869459
Abstract: A method for producing a mixed salt of sodium and aluminum includes providing a solution comprising water, sodium chloride and sulfuric acid, heating the solution to a temperature between 180° F. and 300° F. so that the sodium chloride reacts with the sulfuric acid to form sodium bisulfate and hydrochloric acid and then continue heating until the solution is essentially free of the hydrochloric acid, adding aluminum or an aluminum compound to the solution to form the mixed salt comprising a sodium aluminum sulfate compound and solidifying the mixed salt to form the sodium aluminum sulfate compound.
