    Abstract: The invention proposes that, under known conditions, hot air, for example that which circulates in a drying oven (1), shall be diluted with cool air of known humidity, for example air from outside, in order to obtain an air mixture the characteristics of which are suitable for conventional humidity sensors, for example a psychrometer; and that the humidity of the hot air shall be deduced from the known dilution conditions, the known humidity of the cool air, and the measured humidity of the air mixture.For the dilution of the hot air, use is preferably made of a mixer (14) having an enclosure (15) connected to a suction source (16).
