  • Patent number: 5044986
Abstract: A sealing device is provided for closing an opening in a panel which accommodated an electrical connector. The device includes a body positionable about the connector. A sealing flang on the body establishes sealing engagement with the panel about the opening. A positive lock is provided between the body and the connector for holding the sealing device in position with the sealing flange in sealing engagement with the panel.

  • Patent number: 4737888
Abstract: A receptacle assembly for making electrical connections to a circuit board mounted in a chassis facilitates assembly of the components and avoids damage to the circuit board connections due to vibrations and shock. The assembly includes a receptacle connector having a housing adapted to be supported on a panel of the chassis and a plurality of terminals supported within the housing. A mounting bracket has a base portion and a grounding bracket clamps the base against the circuit board. Apertures in the base are aligned with a pattern of holes in the circuit board. A flange on the grounding bracket is attached to the panel and a standoff on the grounding bracket positions the mounting bracket and the circuit board in the chassis. A length of multiple conductor flexible cable has conductors with first ends connected to the terminals of the receptacle connector and second ends extending through the apertures for connection to the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 3941449
Abstract: A conductive metal terminal serves to secure a wire conductor to a printed circuit board or other circuit panel. The terminal includes a wire engaging portion for crimping to the wire conductor, together with a nose portion for insertion into a hole in the circuit board. The nose portion is generally cylindrical in shape and its leading edge is defined by a plane sloped relative to the cylinder axis in order to provide a bevelled tip facilitating entry of the nose portion into the panel hole. A slot extending axially in the wall of the cylindrical nose portion extends from the bevelled tip to permit axial compression during insertion. Forward and rear stop means are provided for retaining the terminal in the panel hole after insertion, thereby to secure the wire conductor to the panel.
