Abstract: A cigarette manufacturing machine having an auxiliary recycled tobacco feed unit communicating with a downflow duct for feeding tobacco to a continuous cigarette rod forming section; the aforementioned auxiliary unit comprising an input conveyor belt communicating with a vibratory tray located between the output of the aforementioned conveyor and the aforementioned downflow duct; tobacco flow along the aforementioned input conveyor being regulated by mobile deflecting elements connected to means for controlling the tobacco level inside the aforementioned downflow duct.

Abstract: A cigarette is formed by means of a single transfer device which both removes tobacco from a tobacco stream on a conveyor belt and then redeposits the same tobacco on the same stream. The spaces formed by the removal step are then filled with a second tobacco mixture.

Abstract: Method and device for feeding strip paper on a dual-rod cigarette manufacturing machine, whereby two identical strips are first stabilized as to tension by respective adjustable brake means, and then fed by a common feed device onto respective conveyors extending along respective fixtures for forming respective cigarette rods; a first of the conveyors being set in such a manner as to feed the respective strip at a given theoretical speed, the common feed device being controlled in such a manner as to supply the amount of strip actually required by the first conveyor, and the other conveyor being controlled in such a manner as to supply the full amount of strip received from the common feed device.

Abstract: In a strip guide device for the automatic feed of a strip of paper (8) along a bench (1) for the formation of a continuous cigarette roll, the bench (1) is bounded at the top by a belt (4) which has above it a supply device (9) for a continuous carpet (10) of tobacco, and the sstrip guide device comprises a suction pulley (5) at the upper branch (3) and an idler wheel (22) for the return of the strip of paper (8) above the bench (1). The idler return wheel (22) mounted on a rotational axle (23) which moves along a predetermined path between a position in which it is substantially tangential to the plane in which the bench (1) lies, and a position which is disengaged with respect to this plane and is assumed by the roller (22) in the case of breakage of the strip (8).

Abstract: Dual-rod cigarette manufacturing machine on which two streams of tobacco, held by suction on to parallel conveyor belts, are subjected, prior to being wrapped in strip cigarette paper, to the action of respective shaving devices each consisting of two tangent counter-rotating discs with cutting edges. On each shaving device, the disc outside the clearance between the two streams is flat, whereas the disc inside the clearance is truncated-cone-shaped and arranged in such a manner that its generating line through the point of tangency with the flat disc is coplanar with the latter. There can be vertical and horizontal adjustment of each shaving device.

Abstract: An automatic device is described for supplying reels of wrapping material to a utilizer machine, in which there are provided a magazine, disposed in a position adjacent to the machine, for a plurality of reserve reels, and a reel carrier for transferring the individual reels to said machine. The magazine comprises a shaft for supporting the reels through their tubular spindle, and at least two support elements for the shaft which can be removed one at a time from this latter under the control of respective mutually independent operating means, in such a manner as to enable the reels to slide towards the reel carrier.

Abstract: Method and machine for manufacturing two continuous streams of cigarettes. A continuous strip of paper is cut longitudinally into two strips which are fed through a tobacco loading station and along respective guides for forming respective continuous wrapped cigarette rods. The rods are fed to a crosswise cutting device by means of respective conveyor belts, the drive rollers of which are driven by a single motor through a differential assembly controlled by detecting devices designed to control, directly or indirectly, the tension on the strips and to keep them at the same tension.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device for dispensing viscous materials, in which an air tight container is provided with a first pipe connecting the inside thereof to a nozzle for supplying the material to a consumption area, and with a second pipe for connecting the inside thereof to a line connected, with the interposition of an air flow regulator, to a source of compressed air.Means are provided for fixing, inside the container, a pre-prepared cartridge of viscous material, placed with a low aperture in communication with the first pipe and communicating via an upper aperture with the second pipe.
