  • Patent number: 8563911
Abstract: A device for opening and locking a tail unit is provided. The tail unit includes a body and at least one fin, pivotable relative to the body along a first axis, that has a projection that forms an element. The device comprises a control ring, slidable relative to the body along a second axis, that includes a component, forming an element, that bears against the projection to deploy the fin, the second axis being non-parallel and non-secant to the first axis. A means for shaping one of the elements during translation along the second axis of the control ring towards the projection of the fin is provided on the other element. The body includes a bearing surface to support the fin during shaping, in which the support of the fin on the bearing surface corresponds to the deployed position of the fin.

  • Patent number: 6536324
Abstract: The invention relates to anti-recoil devices for guns and martars. The anti-recoil device has a brake with a principal cabity which houses a principal piston pierced with holes. The small chamber of the brake is connected by an opening to a subisdiary chamber closed by a fluid-tight piston. The principal cavity and the subsidiary chamber are filled with a liquid whilst a gas under pressure, located on the other side of the fluid-tight piston with respect to the subsidiary chamber, tends to push back the subsidiary piston. A valve partially obturtes the holes of the principal piston, during the return to firing position, in order to brake that return.

  • Publication number: 20020007726
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a device for protection of an armored vehicle against projectiles, particularly non-explosive projectiles, characterized in that it comprises at least one launcher device whose movements in at least one plane are controlled by a pyrotechnic ram. The reaction time of the rams is very short. By increasing the angular positioning capability of the launchers, the number of launchers required in an armored vehicle self-defense system providing protection against non-explosive projectiles is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6095026
Abstract: An ammunition magazine mounted directly on a mortar to improve the firing rate of the mortar. The rounds of ammunition contained in the magazine are conveyed to a predetermined position through the use of a motor drive where they are taken by a transfer device that extracts them from the magazine and places them into the barrel of the mortar.

  • Patent number: 5337672
Abstract: Ignition means being provided to ignite pyrotechnic materials, this ignition is produced by the activation of these ignition means. As long as the ignition means have not been activated, the casing is maintained firmly attached to a closing plug only by a first set of locking means so that at pressures within the casing in excess of a given pressure, the plug is ejected from the casing. As soon as the ignition means have been activated, the casing is maintained firmly attached to the plug by a second set of locking means at pressures within the casing in excess of the given pressure.
