Abstract: A system for presentation and sale of self-service items comprises a peg configured to be attached to a vertical wall of a retail display unit. The peg is configured to retain items in packaging having a hole therein for the passage of the peg. The peg comprises a smooth rod with a section less than or equal to the section of the hole over a length of the rod configured to receive the packaging, and a notched free end section. The system further includes spacers formed by rings. Each ring has a lumen of section complementary to that of the rod and greater than the section of the notched free end, and at least one tooth configured to be disengaged by an external actuating mechanism to interact at rest with the notching. Each ring has an outer section greater than the section of the hole in the packaging.

The invention is characterized in that it comprises: a trigger member which can occupy a locked position and which can move in translation in the axis of the plane of the opening face which trigger member comprises at least one rim which co-operates with the above-mentioned rim in order to prevent the article from being extracted from the case and a locking pull tab which can move along an axis that is transverse to the movement of the trigger member and which can lock the trigger member in the locked position thereof.

The fixed portion has a rear guide extending in a substantially longitudinal direction, and a front projection with an opening having a substantially longitudinal rear section and an angled section extending therefrom up to the upper edge of said front projection.
