Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a circuit and method for cancelling the acoustic feedback in public address systems, sound reinforcement systems, hearing aids, teleconference systems or hands-free communication systems, comprising providing a filter for tracking the acoustic feedback path between the radiator device broadcasting and the receiver device, the input of said filter being the signal applied to the radiator device; updating the filter for tracking the acoustic feedback path based on time-domain information contained in the cepstrum of the receiver device signal, or updating the filter for tracking the acoustic feedback path based on time-domain information contained in the cepstrum of the signal applied to the radiator device, or updating the filter for tracking the acoustic feedback path based on time-domain information contained in the cepstrum of the difference between the receiver device signal and the signal applied to the radiator device filtered by the filter.
